The framework will\nsupport imagery, geospatial data, 3D GEOINT, mapping products, and\nfuture GEOINT data types by providing standardized methodologies for\nautomated testing, metric generation, data storage, visualization, and\nreporting.\nThe successful candidate will be part of a team to support the design,\ndevelopment, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment of the\nenterprise IV&V software\nsolutions.\nRole Overview\nThe Cloud & DevOps Engineer will design, implement, automate, and\nmaintain the cloud infrastructure, development platform, and continuous\nintegration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines supporting an\nenterprise Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) framework.\nThis position will ensure the platform is scalable, secure, reliable,\nand capable of supporting automated evaluation of GEOINT products,\nincluding imagery, geospatial data, mapping products, and 3D GEOINT\ndatasets.\nWorking closely with software developers, system engineers, and\nGovernment stakeholders, the Cloud & DevOps Engineer will develop\ncloud-native infrastructure, automate application deployment, manage\ncontainerized services, and integrate security, monitoring, and\nperformance optimization throughout the software development lifecycle.\nThe engineer will enable rapid delivery of new IV&V capabilities while\nmaintaining compliance with cybersecurity and enterprise architecture\nrequirements.\nKey Responsibilities\n- Design, deploy, and maintain secure cloud-native infrastructure\nsupporting the enterprise GEOINT IV&V platform.\n- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate\nprovisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management of cloud\nresources.\n- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated\nsoftware builds, testing, security scanning, and deployments.\n- Deploy and administer containerized applications using Kubernetes,\nOpenShift, Docker, or similar container orchestration platforms.\n- Automate software delivery, infrastructure management, configuration\nmanagement, and operational workflows using industry-standard DevOps\ntools and scripting languages.\n- Integrate automated security scanning, vulnerability assessment, and\nDevSecOps practices throughout the software development lifecycle.\n- Configure and maintain cloud networking, storage, compute resources,\nidentity management, and access controls.\n- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational dashboards\nto ensure system availability, performance, and reliability.\n- Support deployment and management of enterprise data services\nsupporting GEOINT metric collection, storage, visualization, and\nanalytics.\n- Optimize cloud resource utilization, system performance,\nscalability, and operational costs.\n- Collaborate with software engineers to support development, testing,\nand deployment of automated GEOINT IV&V capabilities.\n- Support integration of commercial GEOINT data sources, research\nproducts, evaluation tools, APIs, and visualization services into\nthe enterprise platform.\n- Develop technical documentation, architecture diagrams, standard\noperating procedures, deployment guides, and system configuration\ndocumentation.\n- Support system integration, testing, troubleshooting, accreditation\nactivities, and transition to operations.\n- Participate in Agile development activities including sprint\nplanning, backlog refinement, technical reviews, and demonstrations.\nRequirements:\n- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering,\nInformation Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical\ndiscipline and 9 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree\nin a related field and 7 years of relevant experience.\n- Experience designing, implementing, and administering enterprise\ncloud environments using Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure,\nor equivalent cloud platforms.\n- Experience developing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform,\nCloudFormation, Pulumi, or equivalent automation frameworks.\n- Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab\nCI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar\ntechnologies.\n- Experience deploying and administering containerized applications\nusing Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, or similar orchestration\nplatforms.\n- Experience with DevSecOps practices, automated security scanning,\nand secure software delivery pipelines.\n- Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash,\nPowerShell, or similar languages.\n- Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and observability\nsolutions using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch,\nKibana, CloudWatch, or communication skills with the ability to\nprepare technical documentation and present technical solutions to\nGovernment stakeholders.\nPreferred:\n- Experience supporting NGA, NRO, DoD, Intelligence Community, or\nother Federal GEOINT or geospatial programs.\n- Experience developing or supporting enterprise GEOINT, remote\nsensing, imagery exploitation, mapping, or geospatial analytics\nsystems.\n- Experience with cloud-native data processing architectures\nsupporting large-scale imagery or geospatial data workflows.\n- Experience implementing automated software quality assurance,\ntesting frameworks, and DevSecOps pipelines.\n- Experience integrating automated cybersecurity tools including\nstatic analysis, software composition analysis, container scanning,\nand vulnerability management.\n- Experience supporting Risk Management Framework (RMF), NIST 800-53,\nICD 503, Authority to Operate (ATO), or Authority to Develop (ATD)\nprocesses.\n- Experience with PostgreSQL, PostGIS, Elasticsearch, object storage,\nor other enterprise data platforms supporting large geospatial\ndatasets.\n- Experience implementing API gateways, RESTful services, message\nqueues, or event-driven architectures.\n- Experience supporting GPU-enabled computing, high-performance\ncomputing (HPC), or AI/ML infrastructure.\n- Familiarity with Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) standards,\nGeoJSON, STAC, or other geospatial interoperability standards.\n- AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS DevOps Engineer Professional,\nCertified Kubernetes Administrator
