Duties and Requirements:\n- Design, implement, and maintain the IBM MQ infrastructure, including\nqueue managers, channels, queues, and other MQ objects.\n- Configure and manage MQ clustering, multi-instance queue managers, and\nhigh availability solutions to ensure message reliability and fault\ntolerance.\n- Monitor and analyze MQ performance metrics, identify bottlenecks,\noptimizing configurations, and tuning MQ settings to enhance system\nefficiency.\n- Provide technical guidance and support to application developers,\nassisting in the integration of applications with MQ messaging.\n- Ensure the security and integrity of MQ infrastructure, implementing\nappropriate access controls, encryption, and auditing mechanisms.\n- Perform capacity planning and forecasting to ensure scalability and\nperformance of MQ infrastructure.\n- Stay updated on the latest IBM MQ versions, patches, and industry best\npractices, making recommendations for upgrades and improvements.\n- Document technical configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting\nsteps for the MQ environment.\n- Other tasks as assigned.\nJob-Specific Minimum Requirements:\n- Active Secret security clearance.\n- Due to contract requirements, only US Citizens can be considered.\nCandidates with dual citizenship cannot be considered.\n- 12+ years of relevant work experience required\n- At least 5+ years Unix experience required\n- At least 5+ years DevOps/ Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience\nrequired\n- Candidates must reside within a commutable distance for daily onsite\nwork and on-call requirements.\n- This contract supports systems that require 24x7x365 uptime.\nCandidates must be willing and able to meet on-call requirements,\nincluding participation in a rotational on-call schedule, if required.\nPreferred Skills and Qualifications:\n- Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience preferred\n- Certified in IBM System Admin for MQ\n- Team player, fast
