The Co-op/Intern will support engineering, including both sustaining engineering and new product activities. The Co-op/Intern works quarter to quarter on a wide variety of projects.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:\nResponsible for testing, following guidelines described in the AtriCure Quality System, including test report writing\nPerform research for engineering as assigned by a supervisor\nWrite process validation/qualification protocols, perform qualification activities, and analyze/document the results\nDesign test protocols, equipment and systems as assigned by supervisor\nResponsible for supporting engineering activities and other company functions as assigned by supervisor\nDocument and install process equipment\nIdentify assembly process or equipment improvements\nSupport pilot build activities including production associate training, component and assembly flow, root cause analysis and inspection data organization/collection\nDocument all work in compliance with AtriCure Quality System requirements & corporate policies\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:\nCurrently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Biomedical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering\nHigh School diploma\nDesire to initiate a mechanical/manufacturing/engineering career in future\nOTHER REQUIREMENTS:\nAbility to regularly walk, sit, or stand as required\nAbility to occasionally bend and push/pull\nAbility to regularly lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift over 25 pounds\nAbility to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check\n5% travel possibility\nAtriCure has a variety of benefits available for US based employees and their families.
