Schedule Details/Additional Information:

Fulltime 36 hours per week, two 12-hour shifts, and two 6-hour shifts. Every other weekend requirement

Pay Range:

$20.80 - $31.20

The Support Services Coordinator is responsible for daily staffing/support operations and maintains staffing records and statistical data for the nursing department and any Carolinas Rehab Managed Hospital.

Teammate must be able to provide nursing services in all inpatient units at Carolinas Rehabilitation - Charlotte, Mount Holly, Northeast, and Pineville Rehabilitation Hospital.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Assumes responsibility and works with nursing leadership to allocate staffing resources to meet patient care needs and department activities.
  • Ensures, the minimum nursing hours per patient are met in accordance with applicable state *Regulation 10A NCAC 13B.5408 COMPREHENSIVE INPATIENT REHABILITATION PROGRAM STAFFING REQS
  • Ensures that, at no time direct care nursing staff be less than 2 full-time equivalents, one of which must be a registered nurse per nursing unit.
  • Provides an adequate number and mix of staff that are consistent with the nursing staffing plan and to meet the care, treatment and service needs of the patient.
  • Communicates staffing adjustments to the established schedule, which occur as a result of absenteeism, illness, or personal reasons.
  • Plans and coordinates the 6 week schedules of the nursing department employees and their daily assignments while meeting established scheduling and staffing deadlines. This also includes the monitoring of nursing staff scheduling including communication with staff nurses.
  • Monitors data input and tracking of annual in-service, certification, and licensure records for all nursing personnel and reports non-compliance to manager/supervisors.
  • Enters data into the computer and generates reports, including graphs and charts. Maintains statistical data and staffing records. Assists with projects, surveys, and inquiries as assigned.
  • Participates in departmental meetings.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Work requires computer entry, typing, and sitting for prolonged periods of time
  • Stretching, bending, reaching, lifting up to 10 pounds in weight are required frequently. .
  • Good general vision and hearing required.Finger dexterity. Maintain composure in a busy environment.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Associate Degree in Business Preferred
  • PC Experience with various related software packages required, including but not limited to Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.Staffing and Scheduling and or Computerized Staff Scheduling experience preferred
  • 1 to 2 years' staffing experience preferred.
