Combined with our broad product portfolio, financial strength and global presence, we provide our customers with the best automation solutions wherever and whenever they need them.\nTotal Compensation and Benefits\n Pay Rate: $30.77-$42.31 per hour\nEligible for Annual Incentive Bonus\nStock Purchase Plan\n3 Weeks Vacation\nHealth Care Benefits + $600 Health Care Spending Account\nEmployee Engagement Events (Employee BBQ’s and lunches, weekly treat day, etc.)\nEmployee Development Programs\nSpecific Responsibilities\nPerform engineering calculations with respect to strength of materials, speeds, horsepower, temperature, pressure, force, etc. as related to machine and tool designs.\nAnalyze engineering drawings and specifications to determine shape, dimensions, hardness etc. in the development of equipment, processes and products.\nExamine feasibility of using one or more machines to carry out sequential operations.\nProduce working drawings, detail drawings and bills of materials for equipment, sub-assemblies or product using SolidWorks.\nAnalyze designs and systems for compliance to applicable standards (i.e. OSHA, CE or customer specific).\nReview drawings for accuracy, material selection, proper machining techniques, finishes, hardness, etc.\nLiaise with customers and in-house technical and engineering staff.\nLiaise with vendors for technical information and specifications.\nCommunicate all requested design changes to the Manager, Automation Engineering OR Product Specialist.\nAdhere to all health and safety rules and procedures.\nAdhere to all ISO procedures pertaining to the job responsibilities.\nResponsible for communicating progress on tasks to supervising designer.\nFormalize and update drawing documentation.\nCreate drawings of existing tooling through the use of precision measuring devises such as verniers and micrometers.\nLiaise with fabricators, machinists, toolmaker and electricians in the completion of equipment and resolving problems.\nMay periodically assist the Engineering Administrative Assistant in preparing customer documentation.\nEnsure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the ATS Code of Business Conduct.\nQualifications\nEducation:\nA post secondary diploma or degree in mechanical design, mechanical engineering or equivalent.\nSkills:\nA working knowledge of common machine shop techniques.\nMust have a thorough knowledge of drafting principles.\nMust be proficient in SolidWorks\nMust be capable of designing tooling from sketches or verbal concepts.\nMust be capable of working as part of a team.\nAn understanding of the use of pneumatics and hydraulics.\nAn understanding of the use of electrical devices.
