In this role, the right candidate will assemble completed desiccators and pipette pumps from component parts, test the completed desiccators and pipette pumps, then pack them for shipment.\nThis is a 1st shift position, Monday - Thursday with hours 6am - 4:30pm. \nESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES\nRemoves molded products from the molding machine and visually inspects, de-gates and trims parts when necessary.\nMay perform limited size inspection utilizing gages, micrometer calipers, or special fixtures. Bags parts and applies header cards or labels when required.\nPerforms post-molding operations such as the milling gates, drilling holes, inserting inserts, hand removal of mold components from parts, hot stamping, etc. at the molding machine and during the molding cycle.\nProperly packs the finished or semi-finished parts into master cartons.\nMay also operate a regrinding machine, rework or inspect other molded parts and fill in on other machines as demand rises.\nMaintains production statistics and prepares a report for the Lead Operator at the end of the shift.\nQUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) are preferred.\nSome manufacturing experience is helpful, but not required.\nMust demonstrate a solid work history and attendance record. \nAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.\nPayrate : $15-$17/hr\n\nHSE\nAll employees have the responsibility to work in a safe manner and report any health, safety or environmental concern to their manager or supervisor in a timely manner.\nEmployee responsibilities for Health, Safety and Environment include:\nWork in compliance with divisional health, safety and environmental procedures\nRefrain from removing or altering safety devices or guarding unless hazardous energies are controlled through lockout-tagout methods\nReport any unsafe conditions or unsafe acts\nReport defect in any equipment or protective device\nEnsure that the required protective equipment is used for the assigned tasks\nAttend all required health, safety and environmental training\nReport any accidents/incidents to supervisor\nAssist in investigating accidents/incidents\nRefrain from engaging in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running or rough and boisterous conduct\nWhy SP Industries Inc.?
