ATS provides world-leading automation tooling to the nuclear energy sector for new reactor builds, refurbishment, operations and maintenance.\nAbout the Role\nThe role of the Project Manager is to plan, monitor, control, and be held accountable through subordinates, all aspects of factory automation projects. Assist with the initial project proposals, administration of all technical engineering information, coordinate all in-house staff, performance to schedule, performance to budget, delivery, installation, cash flow and customer satisfaction through the warranty period. Will assume the role of a key member of management to ensure that the customer’s needs are met, and project quality is maintained. Set an example of company culture with integrity and professional competence. Adhere to all established procedures as defined by ATS Quality Procedures, Process Flows, Work Instructions, Safety Procedures, and the Employee Handbook.\nSPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES\nResponsible for creation and performance of the project schedule.\nResponsible for the project material and manpower budget.\nEnsure that the purchase order received is compatible with the terms of the project proposal.\nConduct regular project meetings with the project team throughout the project.\nConduct regular project meetings with the customer, record and distribute the information to the team.\nTrack all contract changes with a written Change Order Request and maintain a revision summary.\nCoordinate and track the development of design and build through manpower schedules and spreadsheets.\nGenerate historical data as required by other departments.\nMonitor and own any change orders for assigned projects.\nCreate a project forecast regularly to be reviewed.\nOwn the collection, communication, and customer approval of the FAT Results.\nOwn the collection, communication, and customer approval of the SAT Results.\nInitiate invoices at customer milestones.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nEducation:\nA bachelor's degree in mechanical design, mechanical engineering or equivalent is preferred.\nExperience:\nA minimum of two years project development experience in a similar manufacturing environment is preferred. \nMust have a working knowledge of mechanical and controls aspects of factory automation systems.\nA working knowledge of PC based Microsoft applications for business is required.\nMust have ability to work with and communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organization.\nJob Specifications\nThe employee may be required to stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to the floor.\nExert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or exert up to 10 pounds of force frequently.\nVisual Acuity - Normal requirements for reading written instructions and computer screens\nHearing Ability - Normal requirements for understanding verbal instructions.\nWorking Conditions - The employee is subject to a normal office environment with occasional exposure to high noise levels and/or physical hazards when visiting manufacturing floor.\nHEALTH, SAFETY, & ENVIRONMENTAL (HSE) REQUIREMENTS:\nWork in compliance with divisional Health, Safety, and Environmental Procedures.\nRefrain from removing or altering safety devices or guarding unless hazardous energies are controlled through Lockout-Tagout methods.\nReport any unsafe conditions or unsafe acts.\nReport defect in any equipment or protective device.\nEnsure that the required protective equipment is used for the assigned task.\nAttend all required Health, Safety, and Environmental training.\nReport any accidents/incidents.\nAssist in investigating any accidents/incidents.\nRefrain from engaging in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running, or rough and boisterous conduct.\nThis job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
