You will lead cross-functional project teams, manage scope, schedule, budget, risk and change, and serve as the key point of contact for the customer throughout the project lifecycle. With a strong focus on execution, financial performance and customer satisfaction, you will bring teams together to solve challenges, maintain momentum and deliver innovative manufacturing solutions safely, on time, on budget and to the highest standards of quality.\nSpecific Responsibilities\nLeads the project team to execute projects on schedule, at or below budget delivering the contracted scope of work to all applicable codes and standards.\nKey customer contact for assigned projects. Responsible for customer satisfaction. Maintain regular contact (verbal and written) with key customer representative(s) ensuring all key project events and issues are documented in writing.\nManage project risks including:Assessment and Identification of risks\nDevelop and Implement Risk Mitigation Plan(s)\nForecasting\n\nProject Planning:Develop suitable budget allocations for ATS labour and materials.\nOversee project schedule development and identify all critical path activities.\nConduct Initial Project Build Plan meeting\nManage project resources. Ensures that adequate resources are assigned to all project tasks. \n\nProject financial management:Working with the financial analyst, ensure all billings and invoicing is submitted on time. Ensure all project deliverables are accomplished and supporting documentation is prepared for each project milestone payment. Obtain necessary FAT, SAT any other customer approvals needed to enable on-time payment including Final payment and project closure.\nProject Forecasting - prepare accurate financial and resource forecasts. Prepare reports as required by ATS Management.\n\nElevate deficiencies to department managers or Program Manager.\nTeam Leadership:Holds team communications meetings on a regular basis.\nEncourages and mentors employees to ensure that the build team’s morale and efficiency is maintained at the highest level.\nLead by example.\nManage projects and project teams in accordance with all applicable ATS procedures. Ensure project teams follow the required procedures. Conduct regular team meetings and issue weekly project updates to the project team.\nCoordinate the post project employee assessment process.\n\nAdditional Responsibilities\nCompliance:Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the ATS Code of Business Conduct.\nSafety - Ensure that all project activities are conducted in accordance with ATS and Legal standards. Ensure that a PSHSR is prepared and acted upon.\nDemonstrate leadership in Health, Safety and Environment compliance.\nHold team members accountable for health, safety and environmental compliance as part of the annual performance review process.\nEnsure that the requirements of the health, safety and environment management system are implemented and maintained.\nCarry out hazard assessments, inspections, and audits as required by legislative framework and/or corporate requirements.\nEnsure that training is provided to all departmental employees are per established in the training matrix.\nImplement appropriate corrective measures for unsafe conditions and unsafe acts.\nEnsure that appropriate equipment, materials and protective devices are provided and maintained in safe condition.\nProvide information, instruction and supervision to employees.\nTake every precaution reasonable in the circumstances for the protection of employees.\nAttend HSE Due Diligence for Management training sessions.\nAssemble and assist in testing activities related to construction of CSA B51 and CSA N285.0 pressure boundary components within the ATS Certificate of Authorization if applicable.\nStrictly follow CSA N285/NQA Quality requirements as defined within the manual and procedures\n\nCustomer Relationship Management:Customer Advocate\nDeliver maximum customer satisfaction\nPro-actively handle customer concerns\nElevate customer issues when required to the next level of ATS management\nPartnership with ATS account manager to manage the customer\nAssists Applications Engineering with preparing quotations and customer interaction.\n\nManagement Reporting:Attend the project status meeting as requested by the Program Manager and/or Director, Project Management.\nFor larger programs, this position may report to a Program Manager.\n\nProject Change Management:Track all contract changes and prepare CORs (Change Order Requests).\nEnsure customer caused / requested changes are executed by the team only after receipt of customer agreement. \n\nQualifications\nEducation:\nPost-secondary college diploma, engineering degree, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience in electrical, mechanical, controls engineering, or a related technical field.\n\nCompletion of or in the process of achieving the Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset.\nExperience:\nMust have experience managing automation projects in excess of $10 million with multiple disciplinary teams.\nMust have acted in a leading role, preferably as a Project Manager, with a minimum of (3) three years’ experience in a variety of projects/markets on a multidiscipline team. \nMust have a practical working knowledge of robots, PLC’s, instrumentation or other machine controls packages, sensors and pneumatics. \nPreference will be given to those who possess an excellent manufacturing or process engineering background, a superior mechanical aptitude and proven trouble-shooting skills. \nAn ability to work effectively with customers according to deadlines and under pressure-filled conditions is essential. \nIn addition, must be familiar with the use of computerized word processing and computerized spreadsheets and AutoCAD or similar drawing package.\nHealth & Safety Requirements:\nAll employees have the
