ATS provides world-leading automation tooling to the nuclear energy sector for new reactor builds, refurbishment, operations and maintenance.\nAbout the Role\nThe Project Manager-Nuclear is responsible and accountable for the successful planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure of complex automation, engineered systems, and nuclear-related projects. The Project Manager provides leadership to multidisciplinary project teams and is accountable for delivering projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contractual, quality, regulatory, and customer requirements. He/She is expected to apply significant industry, technical, and project management experience to lead project teams, mentor developing project management professionals, and drive execution excellence across the organization. While work may be delegated to project team members and subordinate personnel, the Project Manager retains overall accountability for project performance and customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. The Project Manager also supports business development, estimating, and proposal development activities by contributing execution strategies, schedule assumptions, resource plans, risk assessments, and project cost inputs. Will assume the role of a key member of management to ensure that the customer’s needs are met, and project quality is maintained. Adhere to all established procedures as defined by ATS Quality Procedures, Process Flows, Work Instructions, Safety Procedures, and the Employee Handbook.\nSpecific Responsibilities\nResponsible for creation and performance of the project schedule.\nResponsible for the project material and manpower budget.\nEnsure that the purchase order received is compatible with the terms of the project proposal. \nConduct regular project meetings with the project team throughout the project.\nConduct regular project meetings with the customer, record and distribute the information to the team.\nTrack all contract changes with a written Change Order Request and maintain a revision summary.\nCoordinate and track the development of design and build through manpower schedules and spreadsheets.\nGenerate historical data as required by other departments.\nMonitor and own any change orders for assigned projects.\nCreate a project forecast regularly to be reviewed.\nOwn the collection, communication, and customer approval of the FAT Results.\nOwn the collection, communication, and customer approval of the SAT Results.\nInitiate invoices at customer milestones.\nMentor and develop project managers, project coordinators, and other project team members through coaching, guidance, and knowledge transfer.\nPromote project management best practices and support the continuous improvement of project execution processes.\nEnsure compliance with applicable customer, nuclear quality, safety, regulatory, export control, and security requirements throughout project execution. \nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Project Management, Business, or a related technical discipline required.\nAdvanced degree or PMP certification preferred.\nNuclear industry experience is preferred but not required.\nMinimum 10+ years of project management experience in industrial automation, manufacturing, nuclear, or similar engineered systems environments.\nDemonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams through complex project execution.\nProven experience mentoring and developing project managers, project coordinators, and technical staff.\nStrong commercial, technical, and leadership skills with a track record of delivering projects to scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements.\nMust have a working knowledge of mechanical and controls aspects of factory automation systems. \nA working knowledge of PC based Microsoft applications for business is required. \nMust have ability to work with and communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organization.\nJoin our globally growing team at ATS Industrial Automation where we create complex automation solutions at the highest level that sustainably impact lives around the world.\nAt ATS, a publicly traded global company with a proud 40-year history, we help drive the future with our factory-wide automation solutions.
