ATS Corporation is a Canadian automation company that designs and builds robotic production systems for regulated industries. It is listed on the Toronto and New York exchanges and recruits engineers, production staff and administrators at sites in Canada, the United States and India. The company is headquartered in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada.

SP Industries Inc. an ATS company is seeking a Sr. Project Manager to join our Project Management Office (PMO), which provides high-quality project management execution of a portfolio of projects which supports SP’s strategic goals.

This position is onsite in Warminster, PA and will require travel to client locations.

What you will do:

  • Lead strategic cross-functional projects from initiation through closeout, ensuring scope, schedule, cost, and quality objectives are met and stakeholders are aligned and satisfied.
  • Strengthen SP’s PMO by leading initiatives that standardize project delivery (tools, templates, governance), applying structured problem solving (e.g., root-cause analysis) and continuous improvement to improve outcomes.
  • Provide coaching and team leadership to the project manager team in project execution, stakeholder management, and structured problem solving/continuous improvement.

A majority of the PMO’s portfolio are “production” projects for engineering, fabrication, assembly and testing of food, drug and chemical batch process capital equipment and sub-systems within the domestic manufacturing facilities of the company and, as needed, at specific job sites worldwide.

The PMO’s portfolio also includes other types of high-profile projects:

  • R&D projects which support or expand SP’s portfolio of products
  • Strategic projects which focus on cultural, process, or business transformation
  • IT projects which provide new or improved technology infrastructure, systems, or business applications
  • CAPEX projects which involve investments in facilities, machinery, or non-IT infrastructure

This position reports into the Director of Operations/General Manager. This position will rely on a strong ability to be successful in a matrix organization where project team members report into their own functional teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver assigned projects within the PMO portfolio, meeting scope, schedule, cost, and quality commitments.
  • Travel up to 30% to SP facilities, vendors, and customer sites (including occasional international travel), as required.
  • Track and report project performance (schedule, cost, risks, issues, and quality), and lead structured problem solving to address variances and prevent recurrence.
  • Provide stage gate governance
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders (including customers and end users), driving clear communication, timely decisions, and effective issue escalation/resolution.
  • Partner cross-functionally across sales, portfolio management, estimating, engineering, service, manufacturing, and leadership to implement standard work, drive continuous improvement, and execute corrective/preventive actions identified through root-cause analysis.
