Our company enjoys remarkable tenure and we take pride in our employees’ ability to grow their career and find long-term success at ATS.\n\nJOB SUMMARY:\n\nThe IT Engineer is a member of the ATS IT engineering (DevOps) team and is responsible for designing, building, securing, and maintaining the infrastructure that supports ATS offices, business units, and job sites across the country. The IT Engineer serves as the escalation point for the IT Support team, owns scheduled preventative maintenance, delivers infrastructure projects from planning through handoff, and identifies initiatives that expand the department’s capabilities and efficiencies.\n\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nMonitor system and network health and performance, and address issues before they affect users\nManage user accounts, groups, and access permissions\nEnsure compliance with company policies, security standards, and industry regulations\nSpecify, order, install, and configure hardware and software, including PCs, servers, switches, and routers\nIdentify, propose, and implement projects that improve efficiency and expand the department’s capabilities\nAdminister server and virtualization infrastructure (Windows Server, Hyper-V), including capacity planning and identifying and retiring unused or unmanaged systems\nManage backup and recovery systems, monitor job health and storage capacity, and contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity planning\nPlan and deploy IT for new offices, office moves and tenant improvements, server rooms, and temporary job-site trailers, including internet circuits, cellular gateways, network equipment, phones, printers, and physical security systems (access control, cameras, intercoms)\nSupport security operations, including endpoint protection, log monitoring, vulnerability remediation, certificate lifecycle management, privileged account management, and review of firewall/VPN requests that could expose ATS or customer networks\nAssist with customer security questionnaires, third-party assessments, and cyber insurance reviews\nServe as the escalation point for the IT Support team, troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues\nCoordinate with vendors, carriers, and resellers on quotes, warranty cases, and escalated technical issues\nCreate and maintain process guides and knowledge base articles so Support staff and field employees can follow established standards\n\nSKILLS AND ABILITIES:\n\nProven troubleshooting skills, including diagnosing and resolving technical issues\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including clear documentation, change notices, and ticket notes for technical and non-technical audiences\nProficiency with Windows desktop and server operating systems and Active Directory\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a team\nStrong understanding of TCP/IP networking, including VLANs, firewalls, VPN, and wireless\nSolid understanding of computer hardware, peripherals, and mobile devices\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, databases, and remote support tools\nAbility to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment\nAbility to follow instructions and established processes\nStrong sense of ownership: proactively communicates status, completes assigned maintenance on schedule, and closes the loop with stakeholders\nExperience administering Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Intune\nExperience with Cisco Meraki or similar enterprise network equipment\nExperience with virtualization (Hyper-V or VMware), storage, and enterprise backup solutions\nFollows change management practices, including testing changes in a limited scope before broad rollout\nFamiliarity with building automation and OT systems (e.g., Alerton, Delta, Tridium Niagara, BACnet) is a plus\nAnnual base salary ranges from $65,000 - $150,000 depending on experience\nAdditional information about our benefits\n\nWORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:\n\nThis position works primarily in an office environment with extensive use of a computer and IT peripheral equipment.
