No relocation is offered.\nAT&T will not hire any applicants for this position who require employer sponsorship now or in the future.\nKey Roles and Responsibilities\nServe as a Solutions architect within the CDO Data & AI Architecture organization, providing architecture leadership across enterprise data, analytics, AI/ML, Generative AI, and strategic platform initiatives.\nDefine and maintain target-state architectures, enterprise reference architectures, architecture principles, Solution Intents (SI) and technology roadmaps supporting AT&T's data and AI strategy.\nLead solution architecture reviews for major initiatives to ensure alignment with enterprise standards, security requirements, governance policies, and long-term strategic direction. Be part of ATS Collective.\nPartner with business, product, engineering, security, infrastructure, and platform teams to translate business capabilities and use cases into scalable, reusable enterprise solutions.\nDrive architecture decisions and technology assessments for strategic platforms supporting data engineering, analytics, AI, GenAI, agentic AI, automation, and digital transformation initiatives.\nEstablish and govern enterprise architecture patterns for data platforms, knowledge management, AI applications, integration frameworks, APIs, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native solutions.\nLead platform and vendor evaluations, proof-of-concepts, and technology selection activities, providing recommendations based on business value, architecture fit, scalability, security, operational readiness, and total cost of ownership.\nSupport enterprise modernization efforts, including migration from legacy platforms, application rationalization, platform consolidation, and adoption of emerging technologies.\nDefine architecture guardrails and governance processes for responsible AI, data governance, security, privacy, compliance, and risk management.\nCollaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity, Cloud Engineering, and Technology Strategy teams to ensure enterprise-wide alignment across platforms and solutions.\nProvide architecture leadership for strategic initiatives involving cloud platforms, data ecosystems, AI platforms, agent frameworks, retrieval architectures, knowledge platforms, and enterprise automation capabilities.\nAuthor architecture standards, solution patterns, technology recommendations, and executive-level architecture presentations for senior leadership and governance forums.\nMentor architects, engineers, and delivery teams while promoting architecture best practices, reusable patterns, and technology standards across the organization.\nAct as a trusted advisor to technology and business leadership on platform strategy, technology investments, innovation opportunities, and enterprise transformation initiatives.\nExperience with cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform.\nExperience with API management, event-driven architectures, enterprise integration patterns, and microservices.\nExperience with GenAI platforms such as Azure OpenAI, Copilot ecosystem, Agent frameworks, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector databases, and knowledge platforms.\nPreferred Qualifications\n10+ years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Data Architecture, Cloud Architecture, or Software Engineering leadership roles.\nStrong experience developing enterprise reference architectures, target-state technology roadmaps, and architecture governance processes.\nDeep understanding of enterprise data ecosystems, AI/ML platforms, Generative AI, Agentic AI, knowledge management, and modern cloud architectures.\nExperience evaluating and governing enterprise platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Palantir, Microsoft Fabric, AI platforms, cloud-native services, and related technology ecosystems.\nProven ability to lead cross-functional architecture initiatives involving business stakeholders, engineering organizations, security teams, and executive leadership.\nExperience supporting enterprise technology modernization, platform consolidation, cloud transformation, and AI adoption strategies.\nStrong executive communication, stakeholder management, and strategic planning skills.\n\nOur Principal Solution Architecture jobs earn between $155,400.00 - $261,100.00 USD Annual.
