We support local and campus area networks, including wireless and cable plant.\nAT&T has an opening for Information Systems Security Engineer to support the team by performing or reviewing technical security assessments of computing environments to identify points of vulnerability, non-compliance with established Information Assurance (AI) standards and regulations, and recommend mitigation strategies. \nThis is a full-time onsite role based in the location(s) posted and is performed from the designated work location five days per week. No relocation is offered.\nDescription of Job Duties/Responsibilities:\nProvide expert guidance and work product evaluation to one or more security engineers that support engineering teams for the design, development, implementation, evaluation, and integration of secure networking, computing, and enclave environments.\nAdvocate and recommend system-level solutions for the secure development and maintenance of systems.\nMonitor and suggest improvement to IA policy; Interact with customers, IT staff, and high-level corporate officers to define and achieve required IA objectives.\nEnsure that the architecture and design of information systems are functional and secure, including program-of-record systems, new and proposed systems, and special purpose environments with platform IT interconnectivity.\nPrevention and early detection and resolution of risks to high value assets.\nArchitect, design, implement, support, and evaluate security-focused tools and services.\nProviding software vulnerability remediation advice to software developers and software development teams.\nImplementing security vulnerability testing tools to provide continuous monitoring and patch verification.\nTest and evaluate products in a lab environment.\nReview certification and accreditation (C&A) documentation, providing feedback on completeness and compliance of its content.\nKnowledge of 800-53 controls, testing information systems for compliance of the controls, and the creation of test cases.\nKnowledge of incident response and the creation, execution, and reporting of such activities.\nKnowledge of Firewalls, IDS/IPS, intrusion detection, VLANS, routing and other network security technologies.\nKnowledge of virtualization technologies including virtual firewalls, networking and segmentation.\nKnowledge of SIEM technologies such as Splunk and creation of security event related dashboards.\nKnowledge of Malware identification, containment, and eradication.\nKnowledge of access control systems, PKI, multi-factor authentication, and entitlements management.\nProficient in Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems.\nProvide input into the development of security policies and procedures.\nEvaluate and recommend new and emerging security products and technologies.\nParticipate in projects that develop new intellectual property.\nEvangelize security within the organization and be an advocate for customer trust.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nExcellent leadership skills and teamwork skills.\nRequired Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph. (#ts/sci) (#polygraph)\nRequired Qualifications:\nTwenty (20) years of experience as an ISSE on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity are required. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or related discipline may be substituted for two (2) years of experience, reducing the requirement to eighteen (18) years of experience.
