No relocation is offered.\nOverall Purpose\nEnsure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements and reports; lead complex accounting projects; and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, corporate policies, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Collect, record, classify, examine, analyze, and report accounting transactions.\nKey Roles and Responsibilities:\nTypical responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:\nFinancial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.\nGeneral Ledger and Accounting Operations: Maintain accounting systems and oversee general ledger activities. Lead month-end and year-end close processes. Prepare journal entries; reconcile ledger accounts; and maintain accurate records of assets, liabilities, and other financial transactions.\nTax Planning and Compliance: Support compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations. Prepare or coordinate tax returns and statutory filings. Identify potential tax-saving opportunities and provide accounting-related tax guidance.\nInternal Controls and Compliance: Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls designed to safeguard assets and support accurate financial reporting. Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, and coordinate internal and external audits.\nAdditional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned to support the organization’s financial health and operational efficiency. Responsibilities may include cash-flow management, budgeting, process and system improvements, stakeholder communications, and project or team leadership.\nJob Contribution\nExperienced professional recognized as a subject-matter expert who applies broad and in-depth knowledge to resolve complex issues creatively. Leads significant projects with a high degree of strategic autonomy and provides recommendations that may influence executive decisions. Develops and implements long-term plans with organization-wide impact, mentors less-experienced employees, and collaborates frequently with senior leadership.\nSupervisory Responsibility: No direct reports.\nEducation and Experience\nBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.\n5+ years of relevant professional experience.\nProfessional certification may be required for certain areas of responsibility.\n\nOur Lead Accountant jobs earn between $118,800.00 - $178,200.00 USD Annual.
