This individual will drive architectural decisions, establish engineering standards, mentor senior engineers, and lead strategic initiatives that enhance availability, scalability, resiliency, security, and operational efficiency across the storage ecosystem.\nWhat We Do\nOur Infrastructure Engineering organization designs, builds, operates, and modernizes highly available storage platforms that support mission-critical business applications and cloud services. Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, Network Engineering, Security, Operations, and Application Development organizations to ensure reliable and scalable storage services.\nWhat You'll Do\nArchitecture & Technical Leadership\nLead the design and strategic direction of enterprise storage platforms and services. \nDefine architecture standards, engineering patterns, and operational best practices. \nEvaluate emerging storage technologies and recommend modernization strategies. \nServe as the highest-level technical escalation point for complex storage issues. \nDrive storage transformation initiatives across on-premises and hybrid cloud environments. \nSAN & Storage Fabric Engineering\nDesign, implement, and support large-scale Fiber Channel SAN infrastructures. \nEngineer highly available storage fabric architectures with redundant paths and fault-tolerant designs. \nManage SAN zoning, host connectivity, multipathing configurations, and fabric optimization. \nLead storage migrations, technology refreshes, and lifecycle management initiatives. \nEnsure storage platforms meet enterprise performance and resiliency requirements. \nNAS & File Services\nDesign and support enterprise NAS solutions supporting NFS, SMB, and file-based workloads. \nDefine storage allocation, data lifecycle management, and tiering strategies. \nOptimize file service performance, availability, and scalability. \nDevelop standards for enterprise file storage consumption and operational support. \nStorage Networking\nCollaborate with network engineering teams on storage transport design and connectivity. \nOptimize storage network performance, throughput, and latency. \nTroubleshoot complex storage-to-host communication issues. \nDefine standards for storage network security, segmentation, and resiliency. \nStorage Performance Engineering\nAnalyze IOPS, latency, throughput, and workload characteristics across enterprise environments. \nConduct proactive performance assessments and capacity modeling. \nIdentify bottlenecks and implement remediation strategies. \nDrive performance benchmarking and optimization efforts. \nEstablish monitoring dashboards, KPIs, and service health metrics. \nAutomation & Infrastructure as Code\nDevelop automation solutions for storage provisioning, reporting, monitoring, and lifecycle management. \nLeverage APIs, scripting, and infrastructure automation frameworks to reduce manual operations. \nStandardize operational processes through automation and self-service capabilities. \nDrive continuous improvement across engineering and operational workflows. \nReliability, Availability & Recovery\nDesign disaster recovery and business continuity strategies for storage platforms. \nLead recovery testing, failover exercises, and resiliency assessments. \nEnsure backup, replication, and data protection capabilities meet business requirements. \nParticipate in major incident response and root cause analysis activities. \nGovernance & Security\nEnsure compliance with enterprise security, audit, and regulatory requirements. \nCollaborate with cybersecurity teams on storage hardening initiatives. \nDefine access control models and secure data storage practices. \nSupport risk assessments and remediation planning. \nMentorship & Leadership\nMentor senior engineers and technical leads. \nProvide architectural guidance across infrastructure and platform organizations. \nLead design reviews, technical forums, and engineering governance efforts. \nInfluence long-term technology roadmaps and strategic investments. \nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline, or equivalent experience. \n12+ years of experience managing enterprise storage environments. \n5+ years in a senior architect, principal engineer, or technical leadership role. \nDeep expertise with enterprise SAN technologies and Fiber Channel architectures. \nExtensive experience with NAS platforms and file services. \nStrong understanding of storage networking concepts, switches, fabrics, and connectivity. \nExpertise in performance tuning, troubleshooting, and capacity management. \nExperience supporting mission-critical production environments requiring high availability. \nStrong scripting and automation experience using Python, PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, or similar tools. \nExperience leading complex infrastructure modernization and migration projects. \nStrong analytical, communication, and leadership skills. \nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with HPE Primera, Alletra, NetApp, Dell PowerScale/Isilon, Pure Storage, or equivalent enterprise platforms. \nExperience with Brocade and Cisco SAN fabrics. \nKnowledge of cloud storage services in Azure, AWS, or GCP. \nExperience with Kubernetes persistent storage architectures and CSI integrations. \nFamiliarity with disaster recovery, replication, backup, and business continuity solutions. \nExperience implementing Infrastructure as Code and platform automation frameworks. \nStorage industry certifications (NetApp, HPE, Dell EMC, Cisco, Brocade, SNIA, etc.). \nExperience operating storage platforms supporting large-scale private cloud or virtualized infrastructure environments. \nLeadership Competencies\nStrategic thinker with strong
