No Relocation offered.\nOverall Purpose: The Senior Tax Manager is responsible for analysis, preparation, and presentation of the worldwide income tax provision in accordance with ASC 740 under U.S. generally accepted accounting principles.\nJob Description:\nKey Roles and Responsibilities:\nPrepare recurring income tax accruals\nManage tax account reconciliations\nPrepare quarterly tax provision calculations including effective tax rate, deferred taxes rollforward, uncertain tax positions and valuation allowances\nPrepare interim and yearend financial statement disclosures in accordance with ASC 740\nAnalyze and manage uncertain tax positions\nComply with company policy and SOX controls in accordance with ASC 740\nProvide support for research on tax implications of business transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations.\nCollaborate with team members and tax advisors to complete ad hoc projects.\nIdentifies and helps to implement operational efficiencies and enhancements through use of automation and technology.\nJob Contribution:\nEnsure accurate and timely tax provisions, contributing to the financial integrity of AT&T.\nMaintain compliance with SOX controls, safeguarding the company's financial processes.\nDrive the continuous improvement of tax processes, increasing efficiency and effectiveness.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of compliance and excellence.\nDesired Qualifications:\nFocused experience in tax accounting and reporting.\nCritical thinking skills with experience recognizing and evaluating tax issues.\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills including use of complex functions\nExperience with OneSource Tax Provision, Power BI or Alteryx is a plus.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to non-financial stakeholders and colleagues.\nDemonstrated ability to manage competing priorities.\nAbility to multi-task and work in a fast paced deadline driven environment.\n3+ years of Big 4 or \nlarge corporate experience in primarily an income tax accounting role. \nBachelors degree in accounting, finance or related field required. CPA license preferred.\nSupervisor: No\nEducation/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired. 3+ years of related experience.
