Must be authorized to work in the United States.\nAttainX is seeking a Business Analyst II to support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), Infrastructure and Risk Modeling Environment (IRME). This role connects mission stakeholders and technical teams by assessing business needs, workflows, adoption, and modernization options. The analyst supports project planning and informed decisions for risk modeling and analytical capabilities.\nQualifications and Education Requirements:\nA bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, management, or a related field is preferred; equivalent education, training, and relevant experience will be considered.\n2-4 years of related experience in business systems analysis, requirements analysis, financial analysis for IT projects, including stakeholder interviews, process mapping, and gap analysis.\nAbility to translate business needs into requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.\nExperience preparing cost-benefit analyses, evaluating alternatives, and tracking project costs, schedules, or performance.\nFamiliarity with agile, iterative, and waterfall delivery and requirements traceability.\nAbility to analyze technology utilization, user adoption, data sharing, and opportunities to reuse existing capabilities.\nSuperior analytical, facilitation, documentation, and communication skills.\nFederal IT experience and familiarity with DHS governance, geospatial systems, or risk analytics are preferred.\nMust be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DHS CISA IRME Public Trust clearance.\nJob Duties:\nInterview stakeholders and facilitate working sessions to document business objectives, current workflows, pain points, and modernization goals.\nAnalyze existing and needed capabilities; document gaps, business requirements, and candidate system improvements.\nServe as a liaison between users and technical teams, clarify requirements, and support prioritization of approved capabilities.\nEvaluate modernization options, costs, benefits, risks, and resource needs; provide inputs to the phased roadmap and milestone decisions.\nSupport cost, schedule, and performance tracking; identify variances and escalate issues to the Project Manager.\nAnalyze technology and data utilization, adoption, and program impacts; help define and track modernization success measures.\nIdentify collaboration opportunities, best practices, authoritative data sources, and reusable DHS or interagency analytical and geospatial capabilities.\nPrepare reports, briefings, meeting minutes, action logs, and governance documentation supporting enterprise architecture and investment planning.\nCoordinate with the Requirements Analyst to maintain traceability and assess the business impact of proposed changes.\nSupport outreach, feature announcements, user guides, webinars, and training; gather user feedback and document improvements.\nMaintain project knowledge repositories and support transition and knowledge transfer while protecting sensitive information.\nNon-Essential Functions:\nOther related duties as assigned.\nAbout Us\nAttainX, Inc. delivers technology solutions, software products, and professional services to Federal Government customers.
