This role supports cloud-based operations, data protection, corrective maintenance, and coordinated service improvements.\nQualifications and Education Requirements:\nTwo (2) to four (4) years of related database administration experience, including database operations supporting applications or cloud-hosted services.\nA bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.\nExperience with SQL, database configuration, performance monitoring and tuning, access controls, backups, and recovery procedures.\nExperience troubleshooting application/database integration and supporting upgrades, patching, and approved configuration changes.\nKnowledge of data ingestion, data integrity validation, information protection, and cloud database operations.\nAbility to maintain operational documentation and coordinate with developers, data stewards, system administrators, and security personnel.\nA relevant database administration or cloud database certification is preferred.\nAbility to satisfy required Government background investigation, system access, nondisclosure, and sensitive-information protection requirements.\nJob Duties:\nAdminister and monitor mission application databases and associated cloud services to maintain performance, availability, and secure operation.\nPerform preventive, corrective, and perfective database maintenance; troubleshoot database failures and legacy application integration issues.\nPlan, test, and implement approved database patches, upgrades, configuration changes, and emergency fixes.\nSupport remediation of critical and high database vulnerabilities within timelines prescribed by CISA security guidance.\nMaintain database backups and recovery procedures; validate restoration and support data loss prevention planning.\nManage database access and approved configurations in coordination with system owners and security personnel.\nSupport data ingestion and work with data owners and stewards to address integrity, protection, and operational issues.\nMonitor utilization and capacity, tune database performance, and optimize cloud resources to support changing demand.\nMaintain maintenance logs, configuration records, SOPs, and applicable security authorization evidence, including monthly scan and reporting inputs.\nCoordinate change implementation, application deployment support, monitoring and alerting, licensing inputs, and operational knowledge transfer with the CISA Technology Operations Center.\nNon-Essential Functions:\nOther related duties as assigned.\nAbout Us\nAttainX, Inc. delivers technology solutions, software products, and professional services to Federal Government customers.
