Your expertise helps turn complex technical challenges into seamless experiences, giving our people the tools and confidence to focus on what matters most.\nWHAT YOU'LL DO\nAs a Systems Administrator, you'll help manage, maintain, and strengthen the technology infrastructure that supports our people, operations, and client work. You'll work across on-premises and cloud environments, ensuring our systems remain secure, efficient, and dependable.\nReporting to the Help Desk Supervisor, you'll take ownership of day-to-day systems administration, troubleshoot complex technical challenges, and collaborate on infrastructure improvements that help our agency operate at its best. You'll also serve as a technical resource for the Help Desk team, sharing your knowledge and helping others grow their capabilities.\nThis is an opportunity to deepen your technical expertise, expand your ownership of critical systems, and grow toward a Senior Systems Administrator role.\nKey Responsibilities\nInfrastructure & Systems Management\nAdminister, maintain, and troubleshoot on-premises Windows and Linux servers, virtualization environments (VMware and Hyper-V), and network-attached and storage area network systems (NAS/SAN).\nSupport storage infrastructure and large-file workflows used by creative, production, and business teams.\nMaintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, VPNs, wireless networks, and connectivity.\nMonitor system health, performance, capacity, and availability, proactively identifying and resolving issues before they disrupt business operations.\nUse infrastructure monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, CloudMon.ai, or Datadog to identify trends, investigate alerts, and support system reliability.\nSupport backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes across on-premises and cloud environments.\nParticipate in infrastructure upgrades, maintenance, and improvements to strengthen reliability, performance, and scalability.\nCloud Platforms & Identity Management\nAdminister Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace environments, including user accounts, permissions, licensing, security settings, and collaboration tools.\nSupport AWS and Azure cloud environments, including provisioning, monitoring, resource management, and basic cost tracking.\nManage identity and access management systems, including Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Okta.\nSupport mobile device management (MDM) platforms such as Jamf and Microsoft Intune to maintain secure and consistent device configurations.\nAssist with user provisioning, deprovisioning, and access changes, ensuring appropriate security controls throughout the employee lifecycle.\nIdentify opportunities to improve system administration processes through automation, standardization, and more effective use of technology.\nSecurity, Compliance & Documentation\nImplement and maintain system security practices, including endpoint protection, patch management, access controls, and vulnerability remediation.\nSupport administration and monitoring of endpoint security tools, including CrowdStrike.\nAssist in maintaining secure systems and protecting confidential client, campaign, and business information.\nSupport security reviews, remediation efforts, and ongoing improvements to the agency's technology environment.\nMaintain accurate documentation of infrastructure configurations, system procedures, troubleshooting guides, and disaster recovery processes.\nDevelop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support consistency, knowledge sharing, and operational continuity.\nTechnical Support, Collaboration & Continuous Improvement\nServe as an escalation point for the Help Desk team, diagnosing and resolving complex infrastructure, application, network, and system issues.\nPartner with the Help Desk Supervisor on technology initiatives, infrastructure projects, system upgrades, and agency-wide rollouts.\nProvide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to Help Desk team members, helping strengthen troubleshooting skills and overall team capabilities.\nCollaborate with internal teams and external technology partners to resolve issues and support business needs.\nProvide hands-on technical support during high-priority agency activities, including client pitches, production shoots, and major launches, when needed.\nRecommend tools, process improvements, and technical solutions that improve efficiency, reliability, and the employee experience.\nStay current on emerging infrastructure technologies, cybersecurity practices, and opportunities to strengthen agency systems.\nWHAT YOU'LL BRING\nExperience & Technical Expertise\n3 to 5+ years of hands-on experience in systems administration, IT infrastructure, or a related technical role.\nStrong working knowledge of Windows Server environments, including administration, troubleshooting, and system maintenance. Linux experience is a plus.\nHands-on experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V.\nFamiliarity with NAS/SAN storage technologies, backup solutions, and disaster recovery practices.\nStrong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless connectivity.\nExperience with firewall and network security solutions such as WatchGuard, Cisco Meraki, or Check Point SASE.\nExperience administering Microsoft 365 and/or Google Workspace environments.\nWorking knowledge of AWS and/or Microsoft Azure, including provisioning, monitoring, and basic cloud infrastructure management.\nFamiliarity with identity and access management solutions, including Okta, SSO, and MFA.\nExperience or exposure to endpoint management and security platforms such as Jamf, Intune, and CrowdStrike.\nUnderstanding of security best practices, including patch management, endpoint protection, vulnerability remediation, and access controls.\nExperience using infrastructure monitoring tools to diagnose issues and maintain system performance.\nAbility to create and maintain clear technical documentation, system configurations, and operational procedures.\nCapabilities\nStrong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.\nAbility to work independently, prioritize competing needs, and take ownership of assigned systems and responsibilities.\nStrong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying potential risks before they affect business operations.\nClear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to colleagues with varying levels of technical expertise.\nStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects, system requests, and deadlines.\nA collaborative approach to problem-solving and a willingness to share technical knowledge with others.\nSound judgment when handling confidential information, system access, and business-critical infrastructure.\nCuriosity about emerging technologies and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.\nNice to Have\nExperience supporting technology infrastructure within a media, advertising, production, or creative agency environment.\nFamiliarity with rendering farms, digital asset management (DAM) systems, or large media file workflows.\nRelevant technical certifications, such as CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or VMware Certified Professional (VCP).\nExperience with scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.\nExperience participating in infrastructure migrations, cloud adoption initiatives, or security improvement projects.\nWHO YOU ARE\nAt Attention Arc, how you work is just as important as what you deliver.
