The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience in consumer electronics/home appliance repair, with strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to lead a team of technicians while ensuring quality, TAT, safety, and cost efficiency.\nKey Responsibilities:\nManage day-to-day repair, servicing, testing, and refurbishment operations for home appliances received as e-waste.\nDiagnose product faults and guide technicians in electrical, electronic, mechanical, and PCB-level troubleshooting as applicable.\nSupervise repair technicians and allocate jobs based on product type, complexity, and technician skill.\nEstablish and monitor repair TAT, first-time-right, repair yield, rejection, repeat-failure, and productivity metrics.\nDevelop standard repair procedures, troubleshooting guides, checklists, and testing protocols for different appliance categories.\nInspect repaired units and ensure functional testing and quality checks are completed before the products move to the next stage.\nIdentify recurring faults and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to improve repair success rates and reduce repeat failures.\nManage requirements and consumption of spares, components, tools, and repair consumables, while controlling repair costs.\nEvaluate whether a unit is economically repairable or should be classified for further processing/recycling.\nMaintain accurate records of incoming units, faults identified, repairs performed, parts replaced, testing results, and final disposition.\nEnsure adherence to electrical safety, ESD, workplace safety, and plant operating procedures.\nCoordinate with Procurement, Inventory, Operations, and Business teams for spares availability and movement of repaired/processed units.\nTrain and mentor technicians on diagnostics, repair techniques, safety, and quality standards.\nDrive continuous improvement in repair productivity, recovery value, quality, and operational efficiency.\nPreferred Candidate Profile:\n3-4 years of relevant experience in repair/service/refurbishment of home appliances or consumer electronics.\nDiploma/B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical, Electronics, Electrical & Electronics, or related engineering discipline.\nStrong hands-on knowledge of electrical and electronic troubleshooting, multimeters, soldering/rework, PCB diagnostics, wiring, motors, sensors, power supplies, etc.\nExperience handling and troubleshooting products such as TVs, refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, microwave ovens, kitchen appliances, and other consumer appliances will be preferred.\nPrior experience managing a team of technicians or a repair workshop is desirable.\nGood understanding of spare-parts management, repair costing, TAT, productivity, and quality control.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and team-management skills.\nDesirable:\nExperience in refurbishment, reverse logistics, e-waste, used/refurbished electronics, or secondary-market operations.\nExposure to multiple brands and product models.\nExperience developing SOPs, repair manuals, diagnostic checklists, and testing protocols.\nFamiliarity with ERP, inventory, or repair/work-order management systems.\nAbility to work in a plant/warehouse environment and manage hands-on technical
