Tech / B.E. in Chemical Engineering\nJob Purpose:\nResponsible for managing shift operations, ensuring safe and efficient plant performance, monitoring process parameters, coordinating manpower and maintenance activities, and achieving production targets as per approved process and quality requirements.\nKey Responsibilities:\nSupervise complete shift-wise plant operations and ensure smooth and safe production.\nMonitor process parameters such as temperature, pressure, pH, flow, level, vacuum, steam pressure, and chemical dosing.\nOperate and supervise equipment including:\nRCVD - Rotary Cone Vacuum Dryer\nANFD - Agitated Nutsche Filter Dryer\nMulti-Stage Evaporation System\nReactors and agitators\nFilter presses\nCentrifuges\nPumps and chemical dosing systems\nStorage and process tanks\nEnsure proper start-up, operation, shutdown, flushing, and cleaning of process equipment.\nMonitor evaporation, filtration, drying, crystallization, precipitation, leaching, and other chemical process operations.\nEnsure correct chemical charging and dosing according to SOPs, batch sheets, and process requirements.\nCoordinate with Production, Maintenance, QC/QA, EHS, and Utility teams to resolve operational issues.\nIdentify process deviations and take immediate corrective action within the approved operating procedures.\nMonitor equipment condition and coordinate with the maintenance team for breakdowns, preventive maintenance, and equipment availability.\nEnsure proper utilization and deployment of shift manpower.\nConduct shift handover and maintain accurate production, process, equipment, and chemical consumption records.\nEnsure compliance with SOPs, GMP requirements where applicable, EHS procedures, PPE requirements, and chemical handling standards.\nMonitor steam, cooling water, vacuum, compressed air, electrical power, and other utility requirements.\nEnsure proper housekeeping and 5S practices throughout the production area.\nSupport troubleshooting of process and equipment-related problems and implement corrective actions.\nPrepare daily shift reports and communicate production status, abnormalities, and pending activities to the Production Manager.\n\nTechnical Knowledge Required:\nThe candidate should have good practical knowledge of:\nRCVD operation and troubleshooting\nANFD operation\nMulti-stage evaporation systems\nReactor and agitator operation\nFilter press and filtration systems\nCentrifuge operation\nVacuum systems\nSteam and utility systems\nChemical dosing and transfer systems\nPrecipitation and crystallization processes\nLeaching and solid-liquid separation\nProcess parameter control\nP&ID and process flow diagram interpretation\n\nHydrometallurgy Experience -
