The role will ensure optimum resource utilization, material availability, adherence to production schedules, and effective inventory management to support business and operational objectives.\nKey Responsibilities:\n1. Production Planning & Scheduling\nDevelop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on demand forecasts, customer requirements, material availability, and production capacity.\nCoordinate with production teams to ensure adherence to planned schedules and production targets.\nMonitor production progress, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions to minimize delays.\nOptimize production schedules to improve capacity utilization, throughput, and operational efficiency.\n\n2. Material Requirement Planning (MRP)\nCalculate raw material, consumables, and packaging material requirements based on production plans and BOMs, wherever applicable.\nCoordinate with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure timely material availability and prevent production interruptions.\nMonitor material shortages, lead times, pending purchase orders, and replenishment requirements.\nAlign material planning with production priorities and inventory availability.\n\n3. Inventory Control & Management\nMonitor raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), finished goods, and consumables inventory.\nMaintain optimum inventory levels while minimizing excess stock, shortages, and inventory carrying costs.\nConduct regular stock reconciliation and coordinate physical stock verification.\nTrack slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete inventory and recommend appropriate corrective actions.\nEnsure accurate inventory transactions and traceability of material movements.\n\n4. Cross-Functional Coordination\nWork closely with Production, Procurement, Warehouse, Quality, Maintenance, and Logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.\nCommunicate production priorities, material constraints, and schedule changes to relevant stakeholders.\nCoordinate dispatch planning and finished goods availability in line with customer commitments and business requirements.\nSupport resolution of production bottlenecks and supply chain issues.\n\n5. MIS, Reporting & Process Improvement\nPrepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on production plans versus actuals, material availability, inventory levels, and plan adherence.\nMonitor KPIs such as schedule adherence, inventory accuracy, stockout frequency, production attainment, and material utilization.\nMaintain accurate planning records and ensure timely ERP transactions.\nIdentify opportunities to improve planning accuracy, reduce material wastage, and enhance operational efficiency.\nSupport root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.\n\n6. ERP & Compliance\nMaintain planning and inventory data in ERP systems such as SAP or equivalent platforms.\nEnsure accurate master data, material codes, BOMs, lead times, and inventory records.\nFollow applicable safety, quality, environmental, and operational procedures relevant to recycling and manufacturing operations.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n4-7 years of relevant experience in PPIC, production planning, material planning, or inventory control in a manufacturing or process industry.\nExperience in recycling, metals, chemicals, electronics manufacturing, automotive components, or other industrial manufacturing environments would be advantageous.\n\nRequired Skills & Competencies\nStrong understanding of production planning, scheduling, MRP, and inventory management.\nWorking knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP PP/MM, or equivalent ERP software.\nProficiency in MS Excel, including lookups, Pivot Tables, and production/inventory reporting.\nUnderstanding of BOMs, material lead times, capacity planning, and production constraints.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a dynamic manufacturing environment.\n\nKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)\nProduction plan adherence and schedule attainment.\nMaterial availability and reduction in production stoppages due to material shortages.\nInventory accuracy and stock reconciliation.\nInventory turnover and control of excess or obsolete stock.\nPlanning accuracy and timely availability of materials.\nReduction in material wastage and improvement in resource utilization.\nTimeliness and accuracy of MIS and ERP reporting.\n\nPreferred Candidate Profile\nThe ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in production and material planning, strong ERP and Excel skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams.
