And we’re just getting started.\nWe've raised more than $100 million from top VC firms like Forerunner, Google Ventures, and True Ventures, and we’re on our way to creating a category defining business assisting Americans in need.\nThe Job\nWe're looking for a Lead Infrastructure Engineer to define what great infrastructure looks like at Atticus and build the platforms and tooling that help engineers ship fast without breaking things.\nYou'll be our second infrastructure engineer, working with Jereme to shape our technical foundations from the ground up - setting the vision, building the systems, and establishing the practices that will support Atticus for years to come.\nYou'll own infrastructure as a product, serving Atticus's product engineering teams as your customers. This means:\n\nShaping our infrastructure roadmap - developing a clear vision for where our infra needs to go and driving progress toward it\n\nBuilding security and operational foundations - laying the groundwork for sustainable growth\n\nImproving reliability - reducing MTTR, establishing SLOs, bringing rigor to how we manage outages\n\nEmpowering product teams - you'll build the platforms and tools that let them own their systems end-to-end\n\nThis is a senior IC role reporting directly to Toby, our VP of Engineering. You'll have a major hand in shaping our infrastructure strategy - and you'll also be writing code and shipping directly. We're a 20-person engineering team, so there's no layer of abstraction between you and the work.\nQualifications\nRequired:\n5+ years in infrastructure / SRE / platform engineering roles, with breadth across infra disciplines. We're looking for an infra generalist, not a deep specialist in one narrow area.\n\nHands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred) and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Pulumi, etc.)\n\nStrong software engineering fundamentals. You approach infrastructure with a builder's mindset.\n\nTechnical breadth across infra domains: networking, security, observability, CI/CD, database operations, containerization. We don’t expect you to be an expert in everything, just knowledgeable enough to be effective on a small team without other specialists.\n\nExperience with consumer-facing, revenue-critical systems, though you don't need FAANG-scale experience.\n\nBonus / Nice-to-Have:\nYou've led infrastructure evolution at a growing startup, not just maintained existing systems.
