A Team Lead’s primary responsibility will be the accurate, timely, and quality completion of transmission engineering scopes assigned to the team. The Team Lead will assist in the development of the departments Standard Best Practices (SBPs) and enforcing / implementing them where pertinent. Team Leads will be a mentor and coach to employees on their team and help them continually develop as professionals. \nSalary Range: $100,000 - $165,000 / year \nThe salary range above is based upon the Denver, Colorado labor market. \nThis opportunity is available to both local / in-office (Lakewood, CO) and full-time remote candidates. \nEssential Responsibilities \nOversees project planning, scheduling, and coordination, for small to large scale projects assigned to the team \nAssigns work to and coordinates work with engineers, designers, or administrative staff \nProvides technical assistance and training for junior engineers \nPerforms and manages the detailed design of overhead transmission lines and distribution lines \nReviews the work of other engineers, designers, drafters, and field service personnel for general quality and accuracy \nManages and supports team member development and growth through individualized development plans. \nProduces and reviews full design packages including plan and profile drawings, pole assembly details, pole grounding/guying details, steel framing details, structure loading diagrams or structure design and fabrication details, foundation design and construction details, and supporting calculation packages \nPrepares a variety of documents and reports associated with projects including cost estimates, budget reports, proposals, and studies \nSupports business development, assists with marketing tasks, and prepares proposals as needed \nAssists with client contacts and communications pertaining to specific assignments and meetings \nDevelops and maintain outstanding company-client relationships \nMaintains high ethical and professional standards \nAttends conferences, training workshops, seminars, regular undergraduate and graduate classes as appropriate for advancement and as required to maintain quality of work \nAttends safety training and adhere to all safety rules and guidelines \nOther duties as assigned \nMust Have \nEducation: BSCE or BSCET from an accredited institution, civil/structural or mechanical option preferred \nExperience: 5+ years of engineering or relevant field experience \nLicensure: FE or PE required \nExpert with PLS-CADD with knowledge in optimum spotter and finite spotter a plus \nProficient with AutoCAD \nA strong written and verbal command of the English language \nApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis \nNice to Have \nProficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and other computer software \nStrong understanding of structural analysis; including steel, wood, and concrete design \nWorking Conditions \n\nWork Environment: \n\nWork is performed in either the home or corporate office setting. Some field work is also required \n\nTravel: \n\nTypical: 5 - 15% \n\nPhysical Activities: \nManagerial Responsibility: \n\nMust be able to lift 25lbs. \nThe Team Lead is responsible for managing their own work and schedule and the work and schedule of their team with input from supervisor.
