Every morning, (think between 3:00 am and 4:00 am) the baker in every single Au Bon Pain arrives to bake our pastries and bread for the day ahead. Our bakers are self-directed workers who have a passion for detail with a flair for creating delicious and nutritious baked goods.\nPosition Summary:\nThe Baker Position is responsible for providing legendary high quality baked products for our guests, while ensuring a CLEAN, FAST and FRIENDLY café environment. If you enjoy making people smile while working with a great team and being part of a Company that is a great place to work, we want you as a Baker!\nBaker Job Responsibilities:\nMeasure and mix ingredients to produce bakery products including bread, pastries etc. using precise café standards.\nEnsure correct quantities of baked goods are being produced daily and works with the management teams to plan production schedules.\nManage the baking environment by maintaining quality presentation, monitor oven temperature and baking times, and evaluate product against standards. \nVisually merchandise and display all products.\nReceive and store inventory, proof/prepare for baking, and bake to ensure the consistency of product.\nKeep work area clean, organized and stocked, responsible for proper sanitation of the work environment\nVisually merchandise and display all products.\nDemonstrate hospitality, respect and a friendly attitude toward Guests and fellow team members. \nResolve any problem and keep management informed about issues and problems as they arise. \nProvide on-the-job training for new bakers (as needed).\nPerform prep and utility duties as needed/backup when needed.\nAssist in café set up, refill and maintain additional areas;
