The property is a long-standing member of Relais & Châteaux, an international association of outstanding boutique properties known for their excellence in hospitality and the culinary arts, and the flagship hotel for the Auberge Collection.\n The Part-Time Spa Coordinator schedules appointments, greets guests, escorts them to treatment areas, and provides information on spa services, treatments, and products. They also support communication of spa incentives, guest requests, and programs to all relevant departments.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nMaintain reception and retail areas in a spotless condition and upkeep the common areas of the spa between appointments.\n\nPossess knowledge of all aspects of treatments and the ability to recommend and engage in suggestive selling.\n\nResponsible for booking all spa appointments accurately\n\nMaintain safety and sanitation standards\n\nProcess spa reservations and billing, and greet all guests upon arrival and departure from their treatments.\n\nSupport all retail aspects including guest assistance, product display, suggestive selling, and merchandising.\n\nDemonstrate respect, sensitivity and concern for guests needs with a professional and pleasant manner\n\nProvide spa guests with a tour of spa facilities to familiarize them with the spa\n\nInteract cooperatively with and with consideration towards guests and co-workers\n\nHandle guest complaints or issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction. Communicate all of the above to management and relevant departments.\n\nExercise good judgment, discretion, and diplomacy while performing job duties.\n\nParticipate in all designated programs, meetings, and training sessions.\n\nNotify Engineering of maintenance and repair needs through in-house software communication.\n\nEnsure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.\n\nMaintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.\n\nLearn and adhere to Spa Standards based on a 5-star Forbes rating.\n\nDevelop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and management.\n\nEnsure proper screening, handling, and follow-up of telephone calls for the Spa Director.\n\nHandle distribution of mail, correspondence, faxes, etc.\n\nManage filing and proper retention of correspondence and reference material for the Director.\n\nComplete all necessary opening and closing duties\n\nInterface with other spa staff to create personalized treatment programming for guests.\n\nAct as liaison between Spa, Housekeeping, and Engineering.\n\nEstablish a tracking system to monitor work statuses and ensure completion of requested tasks.\n\nPractice safe work habits and follow all safety procedures.\n\nThe rate for this position is $18.00-21.00/hour. This is the pay rate for this position that Auberge du Soleil reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.\n Ability to maintain a pleasant disposition and function efficiently in a high-stress/pressure work environment.\n\nProfessional, flexible, and positive attitude.\n\nPrior customer service experience required.\n\nComputer familiarity.\n\nMust be detail-oriented and have excellent communication skills.\n\nPrevious cash handling experience required.\n\nExcellent multitasking skills to successfully handle several assignments simultaneously.\n\nMust be polished, professional, and have a strong command of both written and verbal English\n\nMust have a polished appearance (willing to cover any visible tattoos or facial piercings during shifts)\n\nMust be able to stand for long periods of time\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\n\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nPrior customer service experience/hotel experience preferred\n\nIndustry-related certifications or education\n\nPrevious experience in a luxury spa, hospitality, or retail environment is highly preferred.\n\nAuberge Collection is a portfolio of extraordinary hotels, resorts, residences, and private clubs.
