Working closely with design and backend engineering, you'llbuild responsive, high-quality user interfaces using modern front-end frameworks, take end-to-end ownership of components within your scope, and raise engineering standards through code review and testing practices. This role suits an experienced front-end engineer who can work independently on well-defined but non-trivial problems and contribute to the technical growth of the wider team.\nWhat You'll Do:\nOwn the design, build, and delivery of complex front-end features and components independently, keeping milestones on track within your scope. \nCollaborate with designers, backend engineers, and product stakeholders to translate design concepts and requirements into responsive, efficient user interfaces. \nWrite clean, well-documented, and reusable code using modern front-end frameworks (React, with Next.js where applicable), following team standards. \nOwn code quality and maintainability for major components in your scope, including identifying and reducing technical debt. \nImplement robust unit and integration tests for critical paths, and maintain strong local and CI test stability for your changes. \nParticipate in code reviews, providing clear, constructive feedback that maintains and raises code quality and team standards. \nCommunicate progress, risks, and testing readiness clearly with product owners, QA, DevOps, and other immediate stakeholders. \nMentor junior and mid-level engineers through pairing, knowledge sharing, and day-to-day practical guidance. \nTroubleshoot, diagnose, and prototype solutions to support complex web application development. \nEvaluate emerging front-end tools, patterns, and practices, and recommend improvements to the team's development process. \nWho You Are:\n6-9 years of professional front-end development experience. \nStrong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS. \nExtensive experience with React; familiarity with Next.js is a plus. \nSolid understanding of state-management approaches (e.g., Redux, Redux-Saga, Thunk, Zustand). \nExperience with front-end tooling such as Webpack, Vite, Storybook, and npm. \nWorking knowledge of common front-end UI libraries (e.g., Tailwind CSS, Material UI, Bootstrap). \nExperience writing unit and end-to-end tests as part of the development workflow. \nFamiliarity with Node.js and API concepts (RESTful APIs, GraphQL, microservices architecture) sufficient to collaborate effectively with backend engineers. \nExperience with Git and CI/CD workflows, and prior work in an Agile/Scrum environment. \nAbility to communicate technical trade-offs clearly with cross-functional stakeholders, including design and product partners. \nWhy Join Us?\nBe Part of a Bold Vision - At audax, we’re not just building software - we’re transforming how financial institutions and businesses manage risk, compliance, and growth.
