The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing high-performing teams while being deeply involved in the technical aspects of highly scalable systems. \nExpertise in Node.js and TypeScript is essential, with a strong preference for additional experience in Go and AdTech.\nKey Responsibilities:\nLead and manage a team of software engineers, fostering a high-performance environment.\nDrive the design, development and delivery of high-scale software solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals.\nProvide technical leadership for the development and operation of high-throughput systems processing billions of requests per day.\nActively participate in coding, code reviews, and architecture discussions to maintain technical excellence.\nMentor and develop engineering talent, providing guidance and career development opportunities.\nCollaborate with stakeholders to define product requirements and deliverables, and work with your team to turn those into solutions.\nEnsure the team follows best practices for software development, testing, and deployment.\nIdentify and resolve technical and organisational challenges, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.\nThrive in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing multiple priorities and deadlines.\nQualifications:\n8+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 2 years in a management or leadership role.\nDemonstrable expertise in Node.js and TypeScript.\nProven experience designing, operating, and scaling complex infrastructure on cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS, using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.\nStrong expertise in relational databases, such as PostgreSQL, and in-memory data stores, such as Redis.\nHands-on experience with AI-assisted coding tools, along with a strong interest in applying AI to engineering workflows and automation.\nExtensive experience delivering high-scale, high-performance solutions.\nStrong leadership and team-building skills.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to maintain composure and effectiveness under pressure.\nNice-to-have:\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science.\nProficiency in Go is highly desirable.\nKnowledge of modern frontend frameworks and libraries used with TypeScript, such as SvelteKit or React, is a plus.\nIn-depth understanding of the AdTech industry is a plus.\nWhat We Offer:\nCompetitive salary and benefits package.\nEquity.\nLeadership role in a cutting-edge technology company.\nOpportunities for continuous learning and professional growth.\nWe’re building a diverse, inclusive team:\nDiversity and representation matters to us all.
