Our team works from Bellevue, WA and Dallas, TX.\nAbout the Team & Role\nAt Auger, our mission is powered by a robust and scalable cloud infrastructure that supports real-time analytics, machine learning, and advanced AI solutions. The Security Team is responsible for securing Auger, our platform, and most importantly, our customer’s data.\nAs aSecurity Engineer at Auger, you will own the definition and implementation of security measures to protect our products and data throughout their lifecycle. You’ll be responsible for securing our cloud infrastructure, performing incident response, and helping our development teams build our platform securely.\nWhat You'll do\nCloud Infrastructure Security:\nDesign, audit, test, and implement cloud security controls. \nDefine cloud security requirements and standards for product development. \nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into product roadmaps. \nRisk Assessment and Management:\nConduct threat modeling and risk assessments to identify potential security vulnerabilities. \nPrioritize and manage security risks, ensuring timely mitigation. \nImplement security controls in our products and educate developers on best practices to minimize risks. \nIncident Response:\nTriage, investigate, and help remediate security incidents. \nHelp develop incident response runbooks and detection rules. \nParticipate in incident retrospectives to improve future security outcomes. \nSecurity Testing and Validation:\nDevelop and execute security testing plans, including penetration testing and vulnerability assessments. \nCollaborate with QA teams to ensure security testing is integrated into the development lifecycle. \nValidate security controls and ensure compliance with security standards. \nSecure Software Development Lifecycle:\nDesign and implement controls to secure the Auger’s software supply chain. \nBuild security into CI/CD pipelines. \nHelp developers triage and remediate static analysis findings. \nImplement dynamic analysis tooling and automated triage pipelines. \nWhat You Bring\nDegree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field.\n5+ years of experience in a security engineering role.\nStrong understanding of security principles, practices, and technologies. \nExperience with threat modeling, risk assessment, and security testing. \nKnowledge of security standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, OWASP). \nExcellent communication and collaboration skills. \nAbility to work independently and as part of a team. \nCompensation & Benefits\nAs part of our commitment to People Powered Greatness, we invest in our team members with competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits to support your health, financial future, and daily life.
