Our team works from Bellevue, WA and Dallas, TX.\nAbout the Role\nAuger's software makes decisions and writes them back into the systems that run our customers' supply chains, so quality is part of the product, not a final checkpoint. As an SDET, you will own quality and test automation across the Auger platform, so our engineers can ship with confidence. We’re looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer who’s passionate about ensuring world-class reliability and performance. You’ll work alongside engineering and product teams to design and implement automated test systems, improve CI/CD processes, and uphold the highest standards of quality across our products.\nWhat You'll Do\nBuild and maintain automated test suites (unit, integration, end-to-end, and regression) for Auger's platform, APIs, and user interface.\nTest data-driven and AI-powered systems: validate pipeline outputs, check data quality and contracts between layers, and confirm that AI-generated recommendations and write-backs behave correctly.\nEmbed quality in CI/CD so that every change is tested automatically before it reaches customers.\nDesign test plans for customer deployments, including internal dogfooding, Auger testing, and joint testing with customer teams before go-live.\nTest integrations and write-backs to customer systems with attention to correctness, idempotency, error handling, and auditability.\nDiagnose, reproduce, and track issues to resolution using tools such as Jira or GitHub Issues, and find root causes, not only symptoms.\nPartner with developers in design and code reviews to make systems testable and maintainable.\nUse AI-assisted development tools responsibly to write and extend tests faster, and review and validate generated code before it ships.\nBe a quality advocate who influences how we build, deploy, and monitor software across environments.\nWhat You Bring\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.\nExperience in QA, test automation, or software development.\nProgramming skill in at least one language such as Python, Java, TypeScript, or JavaScript.\nA strong understanding of software testing methods, including unit, integration, system, and acceptance testing.\nExperience with at least one test framework, such as PyTest, JUnit, Jest, Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium, from work, school, or personal projects.\nA solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and how distributed systems fail.\nAbility to work in person from our Bellevue headquarters, and to participate in on-call rotations.\nExperience with CI/CD systems (such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins), cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), or API, performance, or security testing is a plus.\nExperience testing data pipelines or AI-powered features, or knowledge of supply chain systems such as ERP, WMS, or TMS, is a plus.\nCompensation & Benefits\nAs part of our commitment to People Powered Greatness, we invest in our team members with competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits to support your health, financial future, and daily life.
