This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver high-impact solutions within the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community, leveraging Splunk technologies to modernize cybersecurity environments. The ideal candidate will have deep Splunk Enterprise Security (ES) experience, strong consulting and client-facing skills, and the ability to work effectively in complex, cleared environments.\nPrimary Responsibilities\nYou will lead Splunk implementation and optimization efforts across a variety of federal customer environments.\nResponsibilities Include:\nDriving complex deployments of Splunk Enterprise and Enterprise Security (ES) in cleared customer environments.\nDesigning and implementing solutions that align with Zero Trust and cybersecurity modernization initiatives.\nCollaborating with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders to assess requirements and propose innovative solutions.\nTroubleshooting performance issues and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of Splunk environments.\nSupporting integration with tools such as GitLab and Kubernetes (preferred).\nDeveloping and documenting technical procedures and providing knowledge transfer to client teams.\nMaintaining compliance with all clearance and security protocols, including lifestyle polygraph requirements.\nRequired Education, Experience, & Skills\nActive Top Secret clearance and ability/willingness to undergo lifestyle polygraph.\n3+ years of experience deploying and managing Splunk in enterprise or federal environments.\nSplunk Architect certification\nDemonstrated expertise in Splunk Enterprise Security (ES).\nExperience working with both Unix/Linux and Windows systems.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.\nAbility to work effectively in a client-facing consulting capacity.\nMust be able to work onsite in Washington, DC.\nPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.\nExperience integrating Splunk with GitLab and/or Kubernetes environments.\nAdditional Splunk accreditations such as Enterprise Security (ES) Accreditation or Consultant Certification.\nFamiliarity with Zero Trust Architecture and federal cybersecurity frameworks.\nWho we are...\nAugust Schell offers 30 years of experience in providing our customers innovative solutions and engineering services to their most challenging needs.
