Not optimize a funnel. Not manage a pipeline. Work on a problem that actually matters - how AI gets adopted inside law firms and legal teams at scale, and what it takes to make that change stick.\nThe Special Projects Lead sits at the intersection of growth, strategy, and deployment. You will own the entire motion from first conversation to live workflows - helping clients understand what is possible, demonstrating the product, driving the deal, and staying accountable to outcomes long after the contract is signed. This is not a role for someone who wants to hand off and move on.\nYou will work directly with the founders, operate across every function - sales, customer success, and go-to-market - and shape the playbook for how August expands across India and beyond. The team is expanding massively, and the people who join now will define how we operate at scale. If you are energized by complexity, thrive in ambiguous environments, and want to see your work change how a profession operates, this role is for you.\nWhat You'll Do\nMeet with partners, senior counsel, and in-house legal teams to understand their most critical workflows and where they're losing time\n\nLead product demonstrations and translate what you're seeing in the field into compelling cases for adoption\n\nOwn deals end-to-end - from first conversation through commercial close\n\nDrive customer success post-deployment, ensuring the product creates real impact on day-to-day legal operations\n\nLead training sessions, workflow design, and ongoing check-ins as clients expand to new practice groups and teams\n\nRepresent August at conferences, industry events, and client sites across India (significant travel required)\n\nWork with the product and engineering teams to shape how field insights get built into August\n\nScope new client opportunities across practice areas, firm sizes, and geographies\n\nWhat You'll Bring\nSignificant experience at a tier 1 Indian law firm, ideally exceeding 4 years of post-qualification experience\n\nA track record of navigating complex, multi-stakeholder relationships and driving decisions through to outcomes\n\nStrong commercial instincts - you can quickly understand a client's business, identify the highest-leverage opportunities, and build a clear path forward\n\nComfort working without a defined playbook and the judgment to build one from scratch\n\nThe ability to communicate clearly across audiences - from associates to managing partners to in-house leadership\n\nWillingness and enthusiasm for significant travel\n\nNice to Have\nPrior exposure to legal operations, legal tech, or professional services.
