The IT Supervisor is a vital member of the Augusta Healthcare team as they oversee the organization, maintenance and evaluation of the healthcare IT systems used to meet the hospital’s needs. The IT Supervisor manages the workload, priorities, and assignments of all their direct reports and has responsibility for managing, coaching, and developing their team members to meet organizational needs.\nThis position reports to one of the IT Managers and provides ongoing support, monitoring, and optimization for the systems utilized by various departments in the environment. The IT Supervisor will frequently be required to interact with PHI (patient health information) and will comply with all HIPAA standards. This position requires communication with both clinical and non-clinical team members including providers and leaders and will lead projects in multiple environments. Teamwork, coaching, collaboration, customer service, data analysis, and technical skills are crucial to the success of this role.\nThis position plays a critical role in supporting Augusta Health’s mission and advancing departmental goals through measurable performance indicators and service excellence. This position contributes to a collaborative, patient-centered environment and helps drive outcomes aligned with organizational priorities.\nEssential Job Duties\nConducting performance reviews\nProviding ongoing counseling and coaching\nRecommending promotions\nCreating long-range staffing plans\nRecommending salary changes\nSetting performance goals and objectives\nAssessing staff training & development needs\nHiring (interviewing and assisting with staffing decisions)\nMentoring for performance improvement\nMaintaining team member documentation and records as appropriate.\nOperates in support of Information Security and Compliance, by ensuring teams adhere to policies, and support of hardening efforts to ensure the protection of organizational data and systems.\nAssist with project coordination and execution in manner that aligns team efforts with priorities and ensuring timely delivery.\nWork with vendors to ensure reliability, efficient service agreements, and timely issue resolution, in support of ensuring vendor relations required for successful hospital operations.\nDeveloping and communicating staff schedules in accordance with customer needs; ensuring adherence to time and attendance policies and procedures;\nCreating and maintaining a high-performance environment characterized by positive leadership and a dedicated team orientation.\nIs an accessible and visible role model for subordinates.\nFosters enthusiasm and maintains mutual trust, candor and respect with staff; ensures productive resolution of conflict.\nSupervises staff's technical and professional performance.\nResolves technical and personnel issues timely. Repetitive issues are kept to a minimum, and goals set to correct actions.\nFrontline supervision performance feedback occurs with staff in a timely manner.\nStaff work time and attendance is monitored for adherence to Augusta Health policies.\nMonitors productivity indicators and proposes adjustments as needed.\nRequired Qualifications\nEducation: Bachelor's Degree or ten years' experience\nLicensure/Certification: ITIL4 Foundation Certification required within 1 year of hire\n Experience: Five years of related healthcare IT experience (unless no bachelor's degree, then ten years of experience required)\nDriver's License: N/A\nEligibility to work in the United States and meet Virginia state employment requirements\nPreferred Qualifications\nEducation: None\nLicensure/Certification: None\nExperience: None\nPrior experience in a hospital, healthcare system, or related service-oriented environment\nFamiliarity with Augusta Health’s systems, workflows, or organizational culture is a plus\nCompetencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities\nCandidate must have strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately with technical, clinical, and business experts.\nKnowledge and experience with Windows operating systems.
