Additionally, this position will assist the administration of the Deltek Costpoint accounting system. \nWhat You Will be Doing:\nManage various aspects of daily accounting operations, such as Cash Management, Accounts Payable, Travel/Expense Reporting, Billing, Accounts Receivable, and General Journal Entries\n In conjunction with the Assistant Controller, coordinate and leads the company accounting activities and close processes\nSupport the Assistant Controller in strengthening internal controls, including the administration of Deltek Costpoint, and accounting policy development\nSupports the annual external financial audit \nAssists in the preparation of the annual Form 990 tax Return and other tax related items\nLeads the Travel/Expense Report & Credit Card Reconciliation audits and payment processes\nDirects the Accounts Payable process, including managing staff accountants and serving as an escalation point for various vendor issues\nProcesses, reviews, and post Accounts Payable Vouchers\nProcesses positive pay and EFT file for uploads to bank\nSupervises the vendor set up and maintenance processes\nLeads the 1099 process at year end\nManages the weekly billing process within the accounting system\nProcesses, reviews, and posts Cash Receipts \nPrepares Adjusting Journal Entries and supporting documentation\nPrepare Monthly Recurring Journal entries and supporting documentation\nPrepares monthly workpapers and reconciles to Trial Balance\nReviews workpapers for direct reports and reconciles to Trial Balance\nPrepare 1042-S Form to foreign nationals using Glacier (Non-Resident Alien Tax Compliance Software).\nSupervises team of 3 Other duties as assigned or required\nWork EnvironmentWork is mission driven, team oriented and typically performed in an office setting within a research or development environment. \nWho You Are: \nYou have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field or an Associate Degree in Accounting and equivalent combination of education and experience.\nYou have a Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting and government contracting\nMinimum 2 years experience using Deltek Costpoint Accounting modules preferred\nMinimum 2 years supervisory experience preferred\nCompetency Summary\nHigh level of competency in Microsoft software products and web-based systems, Visio and SharePoint.\nAttention to detail is critical\nHighly organized\nExcellent communication skills\nThe ability to work independently or lead in a team environment is essential, as is the ability to work extended hours and travel as required.\nTotal Rewards: \n\nAssociated Universities, Inc. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include; education, experience, skills, competencies, other qualifications of the successful candidate, as well as internal equity and labor market conditions.\n\nBenefits:\nAUI’s benefits package addresses the needs of employees and their families with most benefits beginning on the first day of employment. AUI provides excellent paid time off (13 holidays, annual accrual of up to 24 vacation days and 15 sick days, additional time off for doctor/dentist visits, and 8 weeks of paid parental leave). Medical, dental and vision plans are effective on the first day of employment.
