This role is critical in managing cross-functional R&D teams to deliver high-quality ASICs that meet stringent automotive standards such as ISO 26262 and AEC-Q100.\nIn addition to project leadership, the role includes a responsibility for shaping and improving the ASIC development process, ensuring alignment with internal methodologies (PLC/MLC) and continuous enhancement of development efficiency and quality. The ASIC Technical Project Manager (m/f/d) will oversee planning, execution and delivery of IC development projects, ensuring alignment with cost, schedule and quality targets.\nKey Responsibilities:\nProject Leadership & Coordination\nManaging an IC R&D project team to define, plan, realize and deliver agreed work products in accordance with automotive quality and safety standards\nLeading cross-functional teams including requirements engineering, architecture, design, verification, IP integration and tool support\nConvening and moderating regular and milestone-based R&D project meetings\nPlanning & Execution\nDeveloping detailed R&D project plans and providing inputs to the overall program management\nManaging implementation of project plan contents, ensuring timely and budget-compliant execution\nProviding budget requirements including effort estimation, tools, licenses and hardware\nIssuing work orders to specialist departments and ensuring alignment with project goals\nMonitoring & Reporting\nReporting development progress and status of the ASIC project to the Program Manager\nMonitoring and controlling all R&D project processes, ensuring adherence to schedule, budget and automotive compliance\nProviding project team members with necessary plans, updates and technical documentation\nApplying quality assurance practices including lessons-learned, peer reviews and risk assessments\nChange & Risk Management\nApplying configuration and change management processes rigorously\nParticipating in Change Control Board (CCB) meetings and managing R&D-related changes according to defined processes\nSupporting component cost estimation and strategic decision-making\nEnsuring project objectives are met in terms of budget, schedule and technical/quality targets\nProcess Improvement & Governance\nSupporting definition, maintenance and continuous improvement of the ASIC Development Process (e.g. COT / Turn-Key flows)\nEnsuring alignment of project execution with defined process phases, milestones and maturity levels (PLC/MLC)\nSupporting standardization of work products, templates and review criteria across projects\nContributing to milestone review definitions and ensuring compliance with process requirements\nDriving lessons learned and feedback into process improvements\nSupporting process compliance with automotive standards such as ISO 26262\nKey Success Factors\nSuccessful delivery of ASIC projects on time, budget and quality\nHigh level of cross-functional team alignment and execution efficiency\nCompliance with automotive standards and internal processes\nContinuous improvement of development processes and project performance\n Academic degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics or comparable qualifiaction\nLong-term experience in ASIC/IC development and technical project management, preferably in the automotive domain\nExperience with functional safety and FTA, FMEA, FMEDA processes\nExperience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Confluence)\nExperience with process modelling tools (e.g., ARMS Stages, Confluence)\nStrong background in IC design methodology, analog circuit design and EDA tools\nDeep expertise in CMOS (analog, digital, RF) and BCD technologies\nProven track record in automotive product development and IC design\nStrong understanding of automotive IC development lifecycle, including ISO 26262 and PPAP\nFamiliarity with automotive-grade reliability and qualification standards (e.g., AEC-Q100)\nKnowledge of automotive mission profiles and environmental stress testing\nBusiness fluent German and English language skills (written and spoken)\nExcellent communication, leadership and organizational skills\nAbility to manage distributed teams across global locations\nStrong communication skills and customer focus\nApplications from severely handicapped people are welcome.\n Next to the interesting daily work the region around Regensburg is offering a high recreational value and quality of life.\nProfit from extensive benefits at the location such as different canteens and cafeterias, a continuing education and training, health management, physiotherapy and much more.\nWe offer an attractive salary as well as the possibility of hybrid and cross-border mobile work.\nFor an improved work-life balance we support you with various initiatives for a better compatibility of family and career such as flexible work time model, part-time option, sabbatical, etc.\nYou can expect a highly motivated team as well as diverse topics and projects in the global environment of the automotive industry.\nWe are promoting lifelong Learning combined with personal and professional development.\nYou are looking for an individual working time model?
