We are taking a responsible approach to creating environments that allow us to do what we do best-provide healthcare and wellness.\nPosition Title: Parent Child Advocate (PCA)\nLocation: Park Forest, IL\nHourly Rate: $21.50 - $22.50\nSUMMARY\nUnder the direct supervision of the Program Supervisor, the Parent Child Advocate (PCA) implements the Healthy Families of America home visiting model to strengthen parent-child relationships and promote healthy development. The PCA uses an evidence-based curriculum to provide parents with information and activities that foster rich learning experiences, support bonding, and build family self-sufficiency. This position requires excellent communication, strong organizational skills, and the ability to provide quality care and service in a dynamic, multi-tasking environment.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nDevelop and maintain supportive, strength-based, and culturally sensitive relationships with pregnant women and their families.\n\nProvide prenatal and postnatal education to expectant mothers on topics such as fetal development, labor and delivery, postpartum recovery, and breastfeeding.\n\nImplement the evidence-based curriculum to strengthen parent-child interactions and promote bonding and attachment.\n\nDeliver developmentally appropriate information and activities to support the child’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.\n\nConduct developmental screenings and assessments with the child and family as required by program guidelines.\n\nCollaborate with families to establish and achieve individualized family goal plans.\n\nProvide assistance in overcoming barriers (e.g., transportation, housing, food) by offering resources and community referrals as needed.\n\nSupport and ensure access to healthcare and safety for children enrolled in the program.\n\nEngage families through home visits, virtual sessions, or phone contact based on family needs.\n\nUse personal vehicle to conduct home visits and perform other service-related travel.\n\nParticipate in outreach activities to recruit and retain program participants.\n\nAssist in coordinating group services including childcare, meal support, and transportation.\n\nEngage in reflective supervision to promote self-awareness and continuous improvement.\n\nCollect, maintain, and submit accurate data in accordance with program requirements.\n\nProvide outstanding customer service using the AIDET communication model to ensure positive outcomes.\n\nMaintain confidentiality and ethical behavior in compliance with organizational policies and procedures.\n\nAttend required trainings and meetings, including all Core Curriculum sessions.\n\nPerform additional duties as assigned.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.\nEducation and/or Experience\nHigh school diploma or GED with 1-2 years of related experience required; OR Associate’s degree in Social/Human Services, Psychology, Child Development, or related field preferred with one year of related experience; OR Bachelor’s degree in Social/Human Services, Psychology, Child Development, or related field preferred.\n\nStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office and proficiency in data entry.\n\nExperience providing services to culturally diverse families and communities.\n\nExperience working with children and families; knowledge of the parent-child relationship preferred.\n\nExperience serving multi-stressed families preferred.\n\nOTHER QUALIFICATIONS\nCurrent driver’s license with a clear driving record.\n\nCurrent auto insurance.\n\nAbility to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.\n\nEligible for a $50/month cell phone allowance to support work-related communication.\n\nBENEFITS\nHealth, Dental, and Vision Insurance\n\nDisability & Life Insurance\n\nPaid Vacation, Sick Days, and Holidays\n\nRetirement Plan\n\nEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)\n\nEmployee Discounts on services such as cell phones, restaurants, and more\n\nAunt Martha’s Health & Wellness is an equal opportunity employer.
