Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’.\nResponsibilities:\nContribute to the design, specification, and delivery of control systems for commercial buildings, industrial facilities, and mission-critical projects, ensuring compliance with client requirements and relevant Malaysian and international standards.\nDevelop and review technical documentation, including control philosophies, functional descriptions, points lists, network architectures, wiring schematics, control panel drawings, and HMI graphics.\nLead controls engineering activities across project phases, from concept and detailed design through testing, commissioning, and project close-out.\nCollaborate with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop innovative controls strategies and technical solutions.\nProvide technical leadership and coordination across building services disciplines to ensure successful project delivery.\nPrepare detailed controls system designs incorporating BMS, BAS, PLC, SCADA, and other automation platforms.\nReview contractor submissions and provide technical guidance to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.\nSupport project planning, engineering management, and the preparation of technical and tender proposals.\nParticipate in site inspections, testing, commissioning, and stakeholder engagements as required to support project outcomes.\nApply sound engineering judgement and maintain compliance with applicable engineering legislation, standards, and industry best practices.\nManage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a strong focus on technical excellence, client service, and delivery performance.\nQualifications and Experience:\nDegree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Information and Communications Technology or equivalent.\nA minimum of 5 years’ post graduate experience across all project development phases from concept design, detailed design to site commissioning of projects or similar roles.\nExperience in DDC, PLC control design and project delivery.\nExperience with Safety in Design practices, risk assessment, preparing proposals, project engineering and planning.\nApplied knowledge of relevant Malaysian Standards.\nExperience with BMS including DDC and PLC controls.\nExperience working on various device interfaces such as OPC UA, Modbus TCP/IP & RTU, MQTT, BACnet/IP & MSTP etc\nNetworking systems and associated components including physical/virtual servers, network switches (CISCO and MOXA), fibre networks, structured cabling, ethernet networks, security etc.\nDesign skills and specification writing skills are essential.\nGood understanding of Building Services Engineering for building services such as mechanical systems, electrical systems, telecommunications, fire systems and plumbing & sanitary systems.\nPossess leadership skills and strong background in all aspects of BMS.\nKnowledge of HVAC Control Applications and Electrical Power Management Systems.\nExperienced in the consultancy, design and construction of Critical Facilities and Smart Buildings.\nStrong organisation and communication skills to collaborate with all stakeholders.\nAbility to travel and work on clients’ sites.\nAbility to proactively interact with clients, stakeholders, project managers, engineers, and designers from other disciplines to provide the best solution for clients’ requirements and deliver project deliverables with highest quality as per the schedule.\nHighly self-motivated, strong work ethics, and the ability to work under minimal supervision.\nExcellent written, verbal and presentation skills, particularly the ability to write technical documentation and communicate discipline requirements to other members of the project team and clients.\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.\nStrong commitment to client satisfaction.\nA team focussed approach and desire to grow your career with a global multidisciplinary consultancy company.\nWhy Aurecon?\nAt Aurecon, we embrace flexible thinking and diverse perspectives.
