Our differences are what fuel our creativity.\nWhat will you do?\nIn this position you will join our Infrastructure business, where you will play an integral part in a team of highly skilled specialists that ‘bring ideas to life’ for our clients across all types of infrastructure projects - from rural access roads to complex freeways, toll roads, system interchanges and water security.\nWe know the work we do is vital in assisting our world’s economic development and, it’s the technical expertise and the depth of knowledge of our people that really sets us apart. Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’.\nLead and contribute to civil design tasks across general civil, drainage, earthworks, utilities, alignment and related structural interface works.\n\nDevelop practical and well considered design solutions that respond to client requirements, site constraints, standards, constructability and project risk.\n\nCoordinate civil inputs with structural, transport, drainage, utilities, rail, buildings and other project disciplines.\n\nPrepare and review drawings, calculations, design reports, technical notes and design documentation.\n\nCommunicate clearly with project teams and clients on design assumptions, risks, issues and recommended actions.\n\nUse digital workflows, design tools and AI enabled practices to improve design efficiency, documentation quality and decision making.\n\nIdentify opportunities to improve delivery methods, reduce rework and standardise design outputs.\n\nSupport junior engineers and designers through clear direction, technical guidance and review.\n\nWork collaboratively across local, national and global teams to deliver consistent and high-quality outcomes.\n\nWe know today’s complex challenges can only be solved through bringing together diverse teams of people from across our business, so there will be opportunities for you to apply your skills and creativity to projects in other geographies and markets.\nWe know today’s complex challenges can only be solved through bringing together diverse teams of people from across our business, so there will be opportunities for you to apply your skills and creativity to projects in other geographies and markets.\nWhat can you bring to the team?\nFirstly, you will share our genuine passion for re-imagining engineering and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future. You will also need the following:\nRelevant tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent, open to other degrees who demonstrate a practical understanding to Engineering.\n\nApproximately 6 or more years’ experience in civil infrastructure design, preferably in a consulting environment.\n\n3D Design Software experience\n\nProactive, resourceful civil engineer who is willing to adopt new practices and look for better ways to deliver work.\n\nStrong all round civil engineering capability across general civil, structural coordination, drainage, earthworks and alignment design.\n\nAble to develop practical, constructible design solutions across varied infrastructure projects.\n\nStrong communicator who can clearly explain technical issues, design options, risks and recommendations to project teams and clients.\n\nComfortable working across multidisciplinary teams and coordinating inputs from designers, engineers, reviewers and external stakeholders.\n\nAble to use digital tools, design software and emerging AI tools to improve quality, speed, consistency and project outcomes.\n\nDemonstrated ability to take ownership of work packages, solve problems and progress design issues with limited supervision.\n\nPractical understanding of design standards, authority requirements and infrastructure delivery constraints.\n\nWillingness to challenge existing approaches where there is a better, safer or more efficient outcome.\n\nOurAurecon Attributes define our way of being - they are a collection of qualities that makes us who we are.
