From complex underground works to major infrastructure, we bring ideas to life in ways that are smarter, more sustainable and future-focused.\nNow, we’re looking for a Geotechnical Engineer to join our Ground & Underground team - someone who’s ready to work collaboratively with the team, push technical boundaries and bring ideas to life.\nWhat will you do?\nIn this position you will join the Ground and Underground Engineering Practice in our Transport Service Group, where you will play an integral part in a team of highly skilled specialists that ‘Bring Ideas to Life’ for our clients. With a focus on growing our Ground Engineering capabilities in NSW we are actively recruiting a senior technical person who is passionate about working collaboratively and on building eminence. You’ll play a key role in supporting the delivery of technically complex, high-impact projects while growing your capability to the full potential.\nIn this role, you will:\nSupport the delivery of multidisciplinary projects through the provision of geotechnical design at feasibility, concept, detailed design and construction phase services stages. You will have the opportunity to contribute to large transport infrastructure projects, water infrastructure, dams, energy distribution and building projects. \nAssume responsibility for the management and delivery of small to medium scale geotechnical investigations. \nApply intermediate analysis using tools like PLAXIS, GeoStudio, Rocscience and more \nProvide input to client proposals and tenders \nLeverage off your passion and experience to support the ongoing development of the Ground Engineering team to achieve growth and diversity objectives. \nBe encouraged to support the development and maintenance of positive client relationships and ongoing business development through promoting capability and coordinating with other key stakeholders. \nActively support the culture of health and safety in the workplace, with clients across the industry. \nMaintain knowledge of Geotechnical and Ground Engineering industry developments, participate in industry events and expand your professional network. \nYour strengths in written and verbal communication will support inter-disciplinary relationships and client relationships and in solving complex problems. \nWe know today’s complex challenges can only be solved through bringing together diverse teams of people from across our business, so there will be opportunities for you to apply your skills and creativity to projects in other geographies and markets.\nWhat can you bring to the team?\nYou’re technically strong, commercially aware and passionate about continuous learning.\nWe’re looking for:\n6+ years’ geotechnical engineering experience \nReadiness to apply for CPEng with Engineers Australia \nProven ability to deliver high-quality designs and reports \nWillingness to engage with clients and stakeholders\nA collaborative mindset and a passion to work collaboratively \nInvolvement in industry bodies such as AGS (desirable) \nWhile not mandatory, it is desirable that you are eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) security clearance. \nWhere required for the role, Aurecon will support successful applicants through the relevant clearance process.
