The role may be based in Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch and offers genuine flexibility.\nCombined hydraulics and fire protection experience is preferred, but we also welcome specialists with deep expertise in either discipline. You will have the opportunity to influence how Aurecon delivers these services while working alongside a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.\nOur Current Project Portfolio includes:\nHealthcare projects across New Zealand\nData centre projects across New Zealand and Australia\nNew Parliament Buildings\nA new arena in Vietnam\nWhat You’ll Do\nYou will lead practical, high-quality building services solutions across major local and international projects, bringing specialist hydraulics and/or fire protection expertise to a collaborative multidisciplinary team.\nLead hydraulics and fire protection design for complex building projects from concept through construction.\nDevelop practical solutions for gravity drainage, trade waste, domestic hot and cold water, stormwater and fire protection systems.\nTranslate architectural and project requirements into coordinated, buildable services solutions.\nProvide technical guidance, design reviews and advice to engineers and project teams.\nCollaborate with architects, fire safety engineers, clients and multidisciplinary teams to resolve complex design challenges.\nContribute to projects across Aotearoa New Zealand, Australia and Asia while strengthening Aurecon’s specialist capability.\nWhat You’ll Bring\nWe welcome experienced engineers at different stages of their careers. Whether your depth is in hydraulics, fire protection or both, we are interested in the specialist capability you can bring.\nThe ideal candidate will bring the following:\nA demonstrated technical expertise in hydraulics and/or fire protection, with the confidence to provide technical leadership on complex projects.\nA proven record designing commercial domestic hot and cold-water distribution, sanitary plumbing, foul water drainage, stormwater and fire protection systems.\nIdeally, at least six years of relevant building services consulting experience.
