Our differences are what fuel our creativity.\nWhat will you do?\nIn this position you will join the Ground and Underground Engineering Practice in our Transport Service Group, where you will play an integral part in a team of highly skilled specialists that ‘Bring Ideas to Life’ for our clients. With a focus on growing our Ground Engineering capabilities in NSW we are actively recruiting a senior technical person who is passionate about working collaboratively and on building eminence. You’ll play a key role in delivering technically complex, high-impact projects while helping grow the capability of those around you.\nIn this role, you will:\nLead the delivery of geotechnical services across multidisciplinary projects from feasibility and concept design through detailed design and construction.\nProvide technical leadership on complex geotechnical problems, including directing and reviewing advanced analysis using tools such as PLAXIS, GeoStudio and Rocscience.\nProvide leadership, mentoring and technical guidance to engineers and geologists, supporting the ongoing development of the Ground Engineering team.\nDrive technical excellence through technical review, application of relevant standards and development and sharing of geotechnical knowledge.\nManage multidisciplinary interfaces to achieve integrated, practical and commercially appropriate design solutions.\nApply strong written and verbal communication, commercial judgement and technical expertise to resolve complex project and client challenges.\nSupport the delivery of multidisciplinary projects through the provision of geotechnical design at feasibility, concept, detailed design and construction phase services stages. You will have the opportunity to contribute to large transport infrastructure projects, water infrastructure, dams, energy distribution and building projects.\nBring energy to the team by asking questions, sharing ideas and taking ownership of agreed tasks. You will also need the following:\n15+ years’ geotechnical engineering experience\nStrong technical capability with experience leading and reviewing complex geotechnical design and investigations\nDemonstrated experience in managing client relationships and driving client focused outcomes\nProven leadership, mentoring and development of engineers and geologists\nProven ability to deliver high-quality geotechnical designs and reports\nANZ experience\nGeotechnical design and/or numerical modelling - Lexis, slope value\nSoftware - Plaxis 2D and 3D, Slope Stability, Pilling\nRoad geotechnical design or rail\n\nOurAurecon Attributes define our way of being - they are a collection of qualities that makes us who we are.
