We are thinkers, solvers, and collaborators who work with our clients to deliver the infrastructure and assets that strengthen communities and create a sustainable future.\nWhat you’ll do\nAs a Power Systems Engineer in our Perth-based Energy team, you’ll contribute to projects and programs that make a real difference and be part of a team that embraces challenges, welcomes diverse ideas, and engineer solutions with people and outcomes in mind.\nAmongst other engineering tasks you will focus on\nDeveloping network, generator and load models and power systems studies to enable our clients to connect their projects to Western Power’s South West Interconnected Network (SWIN).\nUndertaking generator and large load connection studies for renewable energy projects, data centres and large customers using PowerFactory and PSCAD.\nPreparing technical reports and connection documentation that address Western Power requirements and relevant Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM) processes.\nEngaging directly with clients and Western Power, respond to technical reviews and lead discussions through the connection application and approval process.\nProviding technical leadership and client-facing advice while helping build Aurecon’s power systems modelling and capability in Western Australia.\nWhat you’ll bring\nRelevant engineering qualifications and demonstrated experience modelling the SWIS, with a strong understanding renewable generating systems and WEM processes.\nDeep familiarity with Western Power requirements and standards, including preparing connection submissions and responding to technical reviews.\nPractical capability with PowerFactory and PSCAD for network modelling, generator and load connections, and connection studies.\nExperience delivering grid connection studies for renewable generation, large loads or data centres, supported by clear technical reporting and documentation.\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain study outcomes to clients and lead technical connection discussions with Western Power.\nHow we support your growth\nWe believe your career should be a rewarding adventure.
