Our differences are what fuel our creativity.\nWhat will you do?\nIn this position, you will join our Transport, Land, & Water business, where you will play an integral part in a team of highly skilled specialists that ‘bring ideas to life’ for our clients across all types of building and infrastructure projects. We know the work we do is vital in assisting our world’s economic development and, it is the technical expertise and the depth of knowledge of our people that really sets us apart. Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’.\nTo oversee the delivery of the project on site to ensure that it is completed safely, on schedule and of the required quality.\nCoordinate the supervision of the construction works activity.\nTo work as a team and in particular with the Clerk of Works\nTo review and coordinate all project design matters and monitor design changes.\nDirects the daily work progress reporting.\nTo review if sufficient resources have been provided by contractor to achieve performance and project completion commitment.\nParticipate weekly review with contractors to ensure works are properly coordinated and delivered on time.\nMonitor actual versus target or required performance by the Contractor.\nBe thoroughly familiar with the project requirements - drawings, specifications, procedures.\nCarry out the role of QC Inspector where required.\nEnsure that the Contractors' inspectors / site supervisors are suitably qualified and experienced to perform their inspection duties.\nRaise NCR's for non-conforming work, review and approve any remedial works design, and ensure that corrective actions are completed promptly and documentation associated with the NCR are updated and the NCR closed out timely.\nDistribution and response to Request for Inspection's (RFI's).\nDistribution and response to the Contractor's Technical Queries (TQ's).\nProvide technical advice to the design team and assist with construction issues.\nReview and approval of Contractor’s submission which include but not limited to shop drawing, method statement, material approval and monthly reports. You will also need the following:\nThe candidate shall possess:\nRegistered with BEM\nPossess at least a Degree in Civil/ Structural Engineering or Degree in GeoScience;\nAt least 15 years of working experience in similar capacity from the earthworks & infrastructure development and consultancy industry;\nGood proficiency in Microsoft Office, AUTOCAD\nGood multitasking, prioritising and organisation skills;\nCompetency in written and spoken English is required.\nGood leadership and interpersonal skills;\nMust be proficient with the regulations of the local authority and other relevant compliances;\nWe value that each of our team members brings something different to Aurecon.
