SharePoint Administrator (AGSVA NV1 Clearance Required)

What you'll do

As a SharePoint Administrator within our Information Management Systems team, you'll play a critical role in supporting secure, compliant, and high-performing collaboration environments across SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and related Microsoft 365 platforms. You will contribute to Defence and enterprise information management initiatives while helping teams work securely with sensitive and controlled information.

• Administer and support SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and related information management platforms.
• Manage permissions, access governance, and security controls across collaboration environments.
• Conduct access audits, permissions reviews, remediation activities, and governance reporting.
• Develop PowerShell-based automation, reporting, and operational support solutions.
• Support ShareGate migration activities, permissions analysis, and content remediation.
• Administer information governance controls including classification, retention, archival, backup, recovery, and lifecycle management.
• Investigate and resolve incidents, service requests, access issues, and platform-related enquiries.
• Work closely with Defence project teams, business stakeholders, and technology partners to maintain secure and compliant environments.

What you'll bring

We're looking for someone who combines strong technical expertise with a proactive and collaborative approach.

• Proven experience administering SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams within a medium-to-large enterprise environment.
• Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, permissions, access models, sharing controls, and governance.
• Demonstrated experience using PowerShell for Microsoft 365 administration, automation, reporting, and auditing.
• Experience conducting permissions reviews, governance reporting, and remediation activities.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience supporting users within regulated, government, Defence, or security-conscious environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Highly regarded experience includes:

• ShareGate migration and governance experience.
• Microsoft Purview Information Protection and Compliance.
• AvePoint governance, archival, or backup solutions.
• Experience supporting Defence projects and operational environments.

Security requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

• Be an Australian Citizen.
• Hold a current AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance.
• Be able to maintain clearance requirements throughout your employment.
