With one of the most prospective land positions in the Cobar Basin, we are unlocking value through discovery, development, and growth.\nThe Great Cobar Project, with an eight-year mine plan and strong exploration upside, will drive the next generation of growth at Aurelia and create diverse career pathways for those wanting to be part of a high-performance, forward-thinking culture.\nAbout the role\nPeak is a mature underground gold mine with a long operating history, which means the engineering challenges are real, varied and highly influential.\nAs our Mining Engineer responsible for the Mid-Term Planning, you'll be developing mine designs and schedules that balance production requirements with practical underground constraints. You'll work closely with operations, geology, maintenance and ventilation teams to determine how and when the orebody is extracted, ensuring plans are achievable, safe and aligned with business objectives.\nThis role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys understanding the bigger picture, working collaboratively across disciplines and seeing their planning work translated into operational outcomes underground.\nRoster: 8/6, 12 hours per day (Dayshift only)\n\nLocation: Peak Mine, Cobar NSW\n\nTravel options\nResidents enjoy a balanced roster and the opportunity to settle into the family-friendly township of Cobar. Relocation support is available, along with a residential allowance\n\nDIDO if you live within an 800km radius of the Mine site which includes a travel allowance\n\nFIFO from Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne\n\nQualifications and experience\nDegree in Mining Engineering or equivalent qualification\n\nPrior experience in a mining engineering planning role\n\nExperience in underground mine design and scheduling\n\nExperience developing medium to long-term mine plans\n\nProficiency using Deswik CAD, Deswik UGDB and Deswik Sched\n\nStrong understanding of underground mining methods and planning principles\n\nExperience contributing to budgeting, forecasting and reserve planning activities\n\nStrong stakeholder engagement and communication skills\n\nAbility to work collaboratively across Technical Services and Operations teams\n\nCommercial awareness with a focus on safe, practical and efficient mining outcomes\n\nProficient with Microsoft Office applications\n\nMAKE AN IMPACT, GET RECOGNISED - BE AN AURELIAN\nAt Aurelia Metals, our people are at the heart of everything we do.
