You will also help to develop the processes of AURELIUS Growth - gladly with the support of AI (e.g. Claude).\nYour Responsibilities\nResponsibility for the day-to-day financial accounting of the AURELIUS Growth holding companies\nPosting of accounting documents such as invoices, credit notes and bank statements in line with HGB and instructions from our Finance Team in Germany, including review of postings for accuracy, completeness and appropriate accounting treatment\nIndependent account clarification and reconciliation, including bank, intercompany, balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations, and timely investigation and resolution of open reconciling items\nPreparation of monthly management accounts, including accruals, deferrals, provisions and interest calculations, as well as financial reports and variance and trend analyses for management\nPreparation of the annual financial statements and support with preparing the statutory financial statements and the month-end and period-end closing, ensuring accurate results within reporting deadlines\nSupport with consolidation and intercompany accounting across entities\nPreparation and processing of payment runs, and execution and monitoring of payments in line with established approval processes and internal controls, including clarification of payment exceptions and rejected transactions\nReview, approval and payment of travel expense reports in line with the travel expense policy\nSupport with administering bank accounts, mandates and banking documentation, including coordination with banks and other financial institutions, and in the Know-Your-Customer (KYC) process\nParticipation in ad-hoc finance projects, the monitoring of administrative expenses and the improvement of processes and internal controls\n Your Profile\nDegree or completed vocational training in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration \nAt least five years of relevant professional experience in accounting, treasury or accounts receivable, ideally in the financial accounting of holding companies or special purpose vehicles\nVery good knowledge of Maltese accounting requirements; knowledge of accounting under HGB and German tax law is a plus\nSolid knowledge of MS Office, in particular advanced Excel\nSage is a must, Workday is a plus\nAbility to handle several tasks at once and to manage changing priorities and deadlines effectively\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments and closely with our team in Germany \nAnalytical thinking, affinity for numbers, an independent, proactive and problem-solving way of working, team spirit, a high degree of accuracy and care, and a high level of integrity, discretion and ownership\nExcellent written and spoken English;
