This is a hands-on ownership role - not a support or ticket-queue position.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nOn-Call & Incident Management\nParticipate/ lead production incident triage, mitigation, and resolution.\nDefine and track SLIs / SLOs and manage error budgets for critical services.\nAuthor blameless postmortems with root cause analysis and corrective action plans for all significant incidents.\nBuild and maintain runbooks and incident response playbooks.\nInfrastructure as Code & Infra Management\nOwn the full infrastructure lifecycle using Terraform exclusively - no manual console provisioning in production.\nDesign modular Terraform modules for cloud resources: compute, networking, storage, IAM, DNS, databases.\nManage environment parity (dev / staging / prod), drift detection, and immutable infrastructure principles.\nUse Ansible or equivalent for configuration management, patch management, and compliance at scale.\nPlan and execute capacity planning, scaling, and cost optimization initiatives.\nKubernetes & Containers\nProvision, configure, upgrade, and maintain production Kubernetes clusters (EKS / GKE / AKS).\nManage Helm charts, ArgoCD / FluxCD GitOps workflows, RBAC, network policies, and secrets management.\nTroubleshoot pod failures, resource constraints, scheduling issues, and node-level problems.\nCI/CD & Release Engineering\nBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions / GitLab CI / Jenkins) with quality gates and automated rollback.\nImplement progressive delivery: blue-green, canary deployments, and feature flags.\nConduct production readiness reviews before new service go-lives.\nObservability & Monitoring\nImplement and manage full-stack observability: metrics (Prometheus + Grafana), logs (Loki), traces (OpenTelemetry / Jaeger).\nBuild SLO-driven alerting and dashboards covering the four golden signals; route via PagerDuty / OpsGenie.\nLinux, Networking & Security\nAdminister production Linux systems (Ubuntu / RHEL / CentOS): performance tuning, hardening, troubleshooting.\nManage VPCs, subnets, security groups, VPNs, load balancers, Nginx / HAProxy, CDNs, and SSL/TLS certificates.\nManage secrets with Vault / AWS Secrets Manager; integrate security scanning into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps).\nDatabase & Application Operations\nManage operational health, backups, replication, and failover for MySQL / PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Memcached.\nSupport deployments for both monolithic and microservices architectures; validate DR procedures regularly.\nREQUIREMENTS\n3-5 years of hands-on production DevOps / SRE / Platform Engineering experience.\nProven on-call experience: incident ownership, RCA, and postmortem authorship in a real production environment.\nStrong Terraform proficiency: writing and maintaining modules, managing state, and working in team IaC workflow.\nSolid Linux administration skills at the OS level (not just application-layer).\nKubernetes production experience: cluster admin, workload management, debugging, RBAC, network policies.\nCI/CD pipeline ownership experience (built pipelines from scratch, not just run them).\nHands-on Prometheus + Grafana: alert rule design and dashboard creation.\nPython and/or Bash scripting for production automation.\nWorking knowledge of AWS (primary), GCP, or Azure - able to architect and troubleshoot independently.\nStrong networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, VPCs, load balancers, firewalls.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nCKA / CKAD, AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, or HashiCorp Terraform Associate certification.\nGitOps experience with ArgoCD or FluxCD in production.\nService mesh experience: Istio or Linkerd.\nMessage queue / streaming experience: Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS SQS / SNS.\nChaos engineering or DR game day experience.\nHashiCorp Vault or cloud-native secrets management experience.\nExposure to FinOps, cost visibility tooling, and cloud cost optimisation.\nPREFERRED TECHNICAL SKILL SET\n Cloud: AWS (primary) | GCP / Azure\nIaC & Config: Terraform, Ansible\nContainers: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD / FluxCD\nCI/CD: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins\nObservability: Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, OpenTelemetry, PagerDuty / OpsGenie\nScripting: Python, Bash, Go\nDatabases: MySQL / PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Memcached\n Messaging: Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS (preferred)\nNetworking: Nginx, HAProxy, CloudFront, Cloudflare, Vault, WAF\nWorkflow: Argo Workflows\nAbout Company\nHi there!
