The primary focus of this role will be forklift and loader operations, with the opportunity to operate heavy vehicles when required. A current HC licence is preferred and reach stacker training/upskilling will be provided for the right candidate.\nRemuneration/Benefit:\nLocal based residents can access an attractive hourly rate plus location allowance, with roster flexibility available by agreement.\nFull-time permanent employment with Australia’s largest rail freight operator, offering long-term stability, a safety-focused environment and ongoing development opportunities. \nAbout the role:\nSafely operate loaders as the primary function of the role, supporting site operations across the Mount Isa area.\nOperate heavy vehicles, including HC combinations with tipping skel trailers, when required.\nSupport loading and unloading of containerised product, with upskilling provided for reach stacker operations.\nComplete all tasks safely and in line with Aurizon’s policies, procedures and operational requirements.\nEnsure compliance with all safety, fatigue, heavy vehicle operating guide lines, loading requirements, axle weights and adhering to vehicle specific permits.\nProvide exceptional customer service and maintain a high degree of professionalism.\nReporting of risks and hazards in the working environment.\nOngoing training and development available.\nAbout you:\nLoader operating experience and confidence working around mobile plant and heavy equipment.\nA current HC licence and heavy vehicle experience are preferred, with the ability to operate heavy vehicles when required.\nReach stacker experience is highly regarded but not essential, as Aurizon will provide training and upskilling for the right candidate.\nGood verbal and written communication skills with the ability to complete paperwork such as pre-starts on vehicles, defect reports and other various reporting.\nHave a strong work ethic, be reliable and punctual.\nPass pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test.\nSupply full driving history.\nSound knowledge of fatigue management and work diary requirements.\nAt Aurizon we believe in connection\nIt is our ability to connect that strengthens communities, industries and builds economies.
