You’ll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable connectivity solutions across our enterprise, helping ensure that critical systems and users remain protected from cyber threats-without compromising performance.\nThis is a key role within a growing cyber function, working closely with Aurizon’s secure connectivity principal, cloud, server, and other security teams to deliver highly available, compliant, and secure network services.\nBuild, Design and Manage secure connectivity solutions including VPNs, firewalls, cloud gateways, and application delivery technologies. \nPerform system administration and maintenance of connectivity platforms and network security infrastructure. \nImplement and manage security protocols, vulnerability assessments, and continuous monitoring across all connectivity services. \nDeliver internal and external connectivity services in line with SLAs and IT Service Management frameworks. \nCreate and maintain network and platform roadmaps to support business evolution. \nLead the development and testing of Disaster Recovery (DR) plans for connectivity solutions. \nMaintain comprehensive documentation including architecture diagrams, configurations, and procedures. \nEnsure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements. \nProvide user training and support on secure connectivity practices. \nPartner with technical teams to ensure efficient and secure integrations across cloud and on-prem environments. \nRespond to security incidents, maintain incident readiness tools, and support remediation activities. \nParticipate in post-incident reviews and implement improvements to harden infrastructure. \nFulfil on-call responsibilities as part of a rotating team roster. \nAbout you:\nTertiary qualification in IT, Networking, Engineering, or a related field (mandatory). \nOne or more relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CCNP, CCIE, Azure Network Engineer Associate, or vendor certifications in Palo Alto, CheckPoint, F5, or Cisco (mandatory). \n7+ years’ experience in network security roles within large enterprise environments. \nDeep expertise in designing and managing next-generation firewalls and secure networking solutions. \nAdvanced skills in Cisco switching/routing and Meraki technologies. \nStrong working knowledge of Azure networking, API security, and VPN gateway configuration. \nSolid scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, iRule) to support automation and integration. \nExcellent communication skills with a strong ability to work across teams and manage stakeholder expectations. \nFamiliarity with MITRE ATT&CK, deception technologies, and secure administration across Windows/Linux/Azure environments (preferred). \nWhat we offer you:\nAt Aurizon, we support the development and growth of our employees.
