You'll work on the low-level software that runs the Aurora Driver reliably in real time, onboard compute and robotics middleware, system software architecture, autonomy integration, and real-time routing/graph systems.\nIn this role you will\nWrite and integrate C++ software that runs onboard the Aurora Driver under real-time constraints\n\nWork on system software architecture, middleware, or autonomy integration depending on team placement\n\nReason about latency, memory, and reliability tradeoffs rather than just passing unit tests\n\nUse performance analysis and instrumentation tools to diagnose real system behavior\n\nPartner with full-time engineers on production-quality code, not prototype-only work\n\nRequired qualifications\nCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related field\n\nStrong C++ and general systems-programming skills\n\nSome real-time and/or embedded systems exposure\n\nWorking knowledge of graph algorithms and core data structures\n\nAbility to reason about latency, memory, and reliability constraints\n\nExperience targeting a Linux-like development environment\n\nDesirable qualifications\nExperience with Linux kernel internals and/or kernel driver development\n\nExperience with performance analysis tools (e.g. eBPF-based tooling)\n\nCompensation\nThe hourly pay rate for this internship in Mountain View is:\n$52.00 per hour for interns pursuing a bachelor’s degree; and\n\n$58.00 per hour for interns pursuing a master’s degree\n\nThe hourly pay rate for this internship in Pittsburgh is:\n$47.00 per hour for interns pursuing a bachelor’s degree; and\n\n$52.00 per hour for interns pursuing a master’s degree\n\nWorking at Aurora\nAt Aurora, we bring together extraordinarily talented and experienced people united by the strength of our values.
